4/5/24Our 1st day in VA for our vacation. After checking into the hotel, we needed to eat early dinner. We were actually on our way to get gas after a 4-hour drive. I noticed the name noodle house. I'm always on the lookout for noodles ? We turned around after gassing the car.We were told to sit anywhere. Then Amy came over and asked if we'd been there before. After we said no, she proceeded to explain the menu. The base Luosifen and the extras you can add. Their famous Burrito... I want noodles! LOLI got the Signature Luosifen. Love it!Hubby doesn't like noodles, so he opted to get Pig Feet and Stinky Tofu... Pig feet were good, but the Stinky Tofu... there is a reason it was his 1st time having Stinky Tofu LOL. He doesn't have a great sense of smell, so he enjoyed the Stinky Tofu. After we finished, we actually told Amy to open a restaurant up here in NJ LOL

The noodles are astounding. They are noodles from the Guangxi Province, and are fresh and tasty, with great staff!

The Luosifen (River snail noodle soup) at Yanzi Noodle House is just amazing and totally addictive! The broth is flavorful and all the toppings, such as fried peanuts, sour bamboo shoots, and fried tofu skin, give the dish a unique and tasty twist. Diners are encouraged to add the secret sauce (infused vinegar), available at each table along with two types of chili oil.Beware, many dishes sell out toward the end of the day. We were so disappointed not to be able to order Taiwanese popcorn chicken! The fried egg (#D26 on the menu) is highly recommended and is a delicious topping for the soup.Service is a bit slow (good food takes time!) but friendly. We were happy to meet the chef / owner who came out to greet diners at each table, as we learned about her and her special Luosifen dish on the PBS series Signature Dish.

Last minute late lunch here was tasty. The owner herself walked us through the menu. If you like spicy food, you have lots of choices here, although mostly with pork or beef. With that being said, I did have some popcorn chicken that was delicious.Service was quick and friendly.A parking lot provides plenty of parking.

Authentic Chinese flavors! If you’re craving yummy rice noodles, Yanzi House has tons of great options. We tried the pork and mushroom and beef flank options. Both were tasty. I haven’t had thick rice noodles like these since living in China. Be sure to also get the beef burrito and calimari. This was all so good! We’ll be back!

I was disappointed with this place ? They made their photos look so yummy, but the food really really lacked flavor which was a huge letdown ? The atmosphere is really nice though and spacious, but wouldn't recommend if you're looking for flavorful food ? The salty squid was good though! ?

I came here with my wife who is Taiwanese. We really liked it. We had the Luosifen signature dish, medium spicy. The broth was very flavorful. It was not too spicy, so we added extra spice. The large is big, I could not finish all the broth. My wife got the braised beef noodle soup which she really liked. The broth was a little sweeter than she expected. We also had the Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Place was excellent and we want to come back

Go! Just go! Don't be intimidated if you're not familiar with the food--you won't be disappointed. I've visited several times, and I have always left with a smile. The owner is incredibly friendly too, and she has great recommendations for some popular items if you're not familiar with the cuisine.PS (as a side, try the scallion pancake beef "burrito". It'll change your life. No joke.)

The luosifen soup is simply amazing. Extremely unique and complex flavors, and a million different ways to customize to your taste. The beef "burrito" is also super delicious. This place is definitely worth visiting to try something new!
