A long time staple of the pike and a family favorite. But the last two visits have been disappointing. Both times they were out of several flavors (including the popular lucuma) and waffle cones. Further- the staffing is changing. The kids working have friends who hang around, smoke weed in the back and stay on the benches out front. One guy on our last visit was trying to get female customers’ numbers and hovering around front of the store making customers visibly uncomfortable. This used to be a family friendly place but seems to be changing. Hoping management can address this and keep York as lovely as it was for many years!

Man! I’ve driven by York Castle Ice Cream a million times, but today was the first time I stopped in, and it will not be the last! Absolutely amazing ice cream! I got a two scoop sundae, and not only was the ice absolutely delicious, the portions were huge, and all for a reasonable price! In addition, the service was prompt, professional, and very friendly! Do yourself a favor and stop by!

Best ice cream around. I always brought my kids here for fun and celebrations. Now I bring my grandkids. It’s a great place to give a gift certificate for an elementary school graduation gift.

We have waited out side for 20 minutes and the sigh says be back at 7:30 it is currently 8 and 5 clients already left the place the doors are unlocked and everything is open very bad costumer service

Went there for a quart of my favorite flavor, ginger. The assistant showed me the ice cream was so soft it was almost liquid. As I had to travel a few miles, it wouldn’t have made it home. In fact, it appeared to me that it was too soft to serve anyone at all and I have to wonder how hygienic it is to serve up ice cream that isnt properly refrigerated.
