“I’ve tried Six Wicket Vineyards’s wines for the first time at the Summer farm in Frederick County. I’m a wine lover and grew up in a small city in South America where we learned the art of high altitude viniculture. Ed has wonderful products and I can say with confidence that Six Wicket Vineyards won’t disappoint you. I promise Ed I’ll visit his Vineyard very soon. 100% recommend it.“
“This vineyard is amazing - we had such a great time visiting this afternoon. Garry is clearly very passionate and personable, and will take the time to discuss the winemaking process from growing the grapes, to blending and bottling. The wines are really delightful. We will definitely be back!“
“Very nice meads here. Good variety as well.“
“Visited today. What a great experience. Gary and Suzanne, husband/ wife who own and run the place, did the tasting. First, what a great couple. The tasting room is in their home and is the nicest place I've been. The wines were all very good to outstanding. We left with 8, the couple with us also 8, plus we had a bottle there. Every wine was well explained as to its making and what to expect. The attention to detail and personal service were exceptional. But you have to make appointment. Google is misleading. Not the owners' fault. It's their home and a small winery. But well worth calling ahead.“
“We loved our visit! We went to the battlefield and after we stopped by on a whim. It was one of the highlights of our trip from Louisiana. We got a couple of flights and settled on the sauv blanc to bring home. I got a red for a friend and she raved about it. Wish we were closer! Beautiful place. Great owner and staff. Did I say how beautiful it was there? 10/10“
“Found this hidden gem while in the area for an autumn hike. I love checking out local businesses so I thought I'd give it a try. The ciders and libations here are for the adventurous tastebuds. From the agricultural lesson in describing their product to the scents and tastes of the ciders, it is a full sensory experience. Even one of the ciders I didn't care for evoked memories. My favorite was the Pairing. One sip and I melted into my chair in full relaxation. It was the kind of taste where I could curl up in a blanket in a dusty old library with a book and just sip for hours. As I said - full sensory experience. If you have adventurous tastebuds and a penchant for nostalgia, give Willow Oaks a try.“

“I went out for a girls night on a Saturday here, also want to mention it was my first time.
They had an outdoor concert (1979) playing from 6:30-9:30. Beautiful sunset.Tickets were cheap online, $14 but it was actually cheaper at the door... $12.50. Easy and fast entry no wait. They just scan your ticket and you go through security. Parking was easy and organized as well. One thing that's cool about this winery is they allow you to bring your own food. So we brought an entire charcuterie board, which made it more festive. I would suggest getting there early if it's a concert night as seating is limited. So bring a blanket or chairs for the lawn. This winery is a bit for boujee *as the young kids say* lol. Very clean restrooms too. Definitely will be back.“
