“This place is a Baltimore gem. Cozy atmosphere that I wish I could sit in all day! The juices and smoothies are bar none - made with such care and the freshest ingredients. The owners will often give little cups of ginger tea or fruit while you wait for your order. My favorite is the Tropical Crave Crusher and Açaí parfait but I also buy the ginger tea in bottles. A must! So glad to have this place close by, please shop here instead of a chain! You won’t regret it.“

“I had an excellent experience. I think it was the manager who helped me ! He was quick efficient and very polite. To be honest these days to find someone in the service industry that’s polite can be difficult. So this experience was refreshing.

“What is there not to say about Bike Powered Smoothies! I serve the Seniors in DC and annually we have an Older Americans Month Event. We have used Bike Powered Smoothies for a while now. And let me tell you, the Seniors LOVE Bike Powered Smoothies! I mean, they love it! They are one of the main highlights of our event. They are able to get in some exercise while creating their own smoothie to enjoy afterwards! What a way to get the Seniors active and involved. And the Staff of Bike Powered Smoothies are fantastic! Professional, courteous and friendly! And they are always on time, never late! I just love having them at our event! You will never go wrong having Bike Powered Smoothies for your event. Trust me, you can't go wrong!“

“Their drinks are always so good, no matter what I get. I'm a fan of bubble tea, so I have tried many of the local places, and Chatime is hands-down the best! The store owners are SO friendly and really care about the community. The food they serve all come from local small businesses, so the quality is top notch! The egg custard, red bean, and pork buns are my favorites! 😋 For drinks, the strawberry au lait, tiramisu milk tea, and mango tea with mousse are my go to!“

“I frequent Enjoy a Bowl very often. I’m normally there at least twice a week, sometimes more than that. The bowls are delicious! I would agree that the employees could do a little more engaging with the customers but I don’t think they are rude. Ohhh and the owner and her son make the BEST bowl ever!!“

“Took my kids there for the first time this week; we each tried a different drink. One Brown sugar milk tea, one strawberry milk tea with coconut jelly, and the triple layer Vietnamese coffee. Holy cow! That coffee didn’t need anything added. Had the right sweetness, creaminess and the coffee was excellent. If you need a pick me up, that will not disappoint! The strawberry milk tea was much better than Chai Times with a richer taste. Price was better too! We can’t wait to come back and try some other drinks.“

“I am a creature of habit and I’m currently obsessed with the Island Green Smoothie and the Smoky-cado Grilled Cheese Sandwich! I’m ordering it at least 2-3 times a week, I’m pretty much a regular. The staff and owner are great, super friendly and they know my regular order when I walk in :). We are so happy to have a Tropical Smoothie Cafe so close to home!!“

Parking: Free parking, the Avenue gets very busy sometimes like on the weekends— it can be hard to get a spot. That’s unrelated to my review though because it has nothing to do with the business itself.

“I enjoy this place in the spring and summer they have outdoor seating and limited indoor seating, but it is always bright and clean and the staff is always friendly and willing to chat.
I absolutely love their açai bowls.
