The staff were very nice and accomodating, but my matcha latte was incredibly bland and honestly terrible. I figured a vegan latte wouldn't have the richness I prefer with dairy milk which is fine, but my drink was soo watery and only had a hint of matcha aftertaste. My friends also tried the drink and agreed. I asked for more matcha and sugar which made the drink at least edible, but it was still pretty flavorless and very disappointing especially for $7 :( I've had and made much better non-dairy matcha lattes, so I'm not sure what went wrong with this one but it tasted like dirt water. Maybe the pastries or coffee are better but I wouldn't recommend getting the matcha here 😞

Thank God for this place. Everything is so crazy in the US right now, I come here and it feels like a little island or a respite or escape. The people are nice, and interesting, and thoughtful. The food and coffee is good. The whole place has whimsy, intentionality, character, and integrity.
Oh, yeah, and did I mention the food and coffee? I think it's got probably the best espresso drinks in the area (IMHO), and there is a wide verity of foods... I'm not vegan so I avoid some of the vegan substitute foods I already know I don't like, but the foods that I do like are excellent and well prepared. Great cakes, donuts, pastry, etc.
10 out of 10, I have and will continue to recommend it to others.

The best flat white, a chai tea made the way it should be, and great service!

Tucked away in Savage Mill this is a great spot for coffee fix. They roast their beans and the baristas are friendly and helpful. Thanks for a good first experience BGCC.

I was having high hopes for the place but I ended up pretty disappointed. It’s a cute little place with a nice little atmosphere in its location but the cold brew was not good. I paid $7 for this surprisingly tiny cup. I expected the taste to be good, but it was very acidic like an iced coffee. I’m questioning if it’s even a cold brew. I get a cold brew almost every day from Baltimore coffee and tea and I get a cup 3x the size for less money and tastes way better, no acidity, just a nice smoky taste. I’m not sure what’s going on with this places cold brew, but I feel that the prices are pretentious for the amount you get. At least have it taste great.
First off: there was a mouse in the seating area. It came from the laundry room behind the barn doors
Gluten free blueberry lavender scone had good flavor but a chalky texture. The iced London’s fog tasted watery.
The service was good. The lights in the seating area are those bright fluorescents and the music was so loud I couldn’t tune it out through noise cancelling headphones, though the music itself was nice. Plenty of seating options and that area was clean despite the mouse. It takes a minute to get used to the coffee roasting smell, at first I thought it was burnt food tbh

My boyfriend (non-vegan) and I (dairy-allergic) went here, and tried a few items. We had the croissant and the tomato garlic knot, and OH MY GOSH, both were so delicious. We will definitely be back for more! Also, they have the best donuts in the whole world (from Donut Run in Takoma Park) on the weekends. So now I live dangerously close to donuts, and am very happy to have made this discovery!
Pathetic. We experienced a 30 minute wait for two cups of black coffee. The woman working was rude and generally seemed disgusted at paying customers. Come for a coffee, leave with a headache. The wait time and horrible service were really complimented by the Folgers tasting coffee. Save yourself and fire up the Keurig.

I had no clue this place was here and I'm so glad I found it, everything was vegan and there were many gluten free things too! As someone with a severe egg allergy, it was such an amazing find! I got a delicious scone, my sister got avocado toast, it was all amazing! Plus the vibe was so good, the staff was lovely, and their menu looked so cool!!

Such a rip off. $7 for a 12oz latte. Asked for caramel flavor. They charged extra money but forgot to put it. Asked for latte but got some cappuccino. All milk foam. Service was very slow. I ll never be back.

Great place, especially for espresso lovers! Really good prices too
Love the coffee but they are Vegan so bring your own cream. No oatmeal is not even close to cream.

Great little shop here! Espresso and brew were quite good. Awesome location.
The staff is incredible. They are connected to the community and offer amazing bakery treats, and partner with Donut Run in DC on Saturday & Sunday. Wonderful scones, coffee cake, donuts, and coffee. You HAVE to try them.
This is a great, independent Cafe with a lot of drink and food options. They support a lot of local businesses.
