4 thumbs up 👍👍👍👍
This is one of the yummiest bakeries I’ve had in a long time ! The breakfast sandwich croissants are huge and delicious. The coffee if also soooo good. Banana caramel is surprisingly so yummy.
I decided to try out this eatery; my family member raved about the croissants. I said you know let me try it out. I ordered a boston cream danish(delicious),earl Grey tea and a grilled turkey reuben (the reuben was not tasted at all) I should have just stop with the boston cream and the tea.
Ordered one $5 pastry at the checkout. Didn’t leave a tip because the person only had to get one thing. No service needed, really, so a tip wasn’t justified. And she still gave me a sour look. Really? Not going back.
First time there. Enjoyed the smaller feel, had indoor and outdoor seating. Baked goods were terrific. The ham and cheese crossant had a nice buttery flavor. Went back for strawberry custard croissant. Would go back.
The strawberry custard croissant is absolutely wonderful - the custard is perfect!
Pastries looked so good! I got the raspberry danish and some tea. Perfect for a cloudy day.
Don't come here for smiley service or people happy to be working, go there for the great food and atmosphere in a historic building. I've never had bad food or scenic view there, and the courtyard is awesome. Employees were nice probably about 30% of my many visits, and otherwise pretty dismissive, but I didn't really care (they are nicer when it's slow).
Just an amazing place with great people always with a smile.
The pastries looked really great. The croissant was excellent. I wish I could say the same about the coffee or food. The coffee was just brewed and wasn't even barely warm, and just tasted like brown water. I ordered the Caesar salad the full size. It was big enough to share, added what I thought was a fresh chicken breast on top........ the chicken was something that was defrosted and disgusting. The croutons were stale as well. Definitely out of a bag and not fresh. I don't cook but I could have made a better salad. There were a ton of employees, and nobody really went out of their way to be friendly. I did find a coupon in the value pack. Smart for them to advertise as we went in and tried this place for the first time. If you're serious about coffee and a good salad go somewhere else

One of the best I’ve seen in Maryland! A bit pricey but hey excellent quality does not come cheap.
We happened upon this place as we were walking into the antique mall. We haven’t been to the antique mall since before Covid so seeing the bakery there got us all excited. We are from Connecticut and we were driving home from Washington DC. All we could smell in the antique mall with croissants and butter. So after walking around the antique mall, we had to stop in. As we walked in, we looked at the display and I wanted to get everything. We settled on a ham and cheese, croissant and a croissant with Gruyère cheese and ham. We also got a chocolate Frangipane and an almond croissant to go. Everything was absolutely delicious. It would be dangerous if I live near here because I would be in here all the time.
I ordered a croissant sandwich with ham, lettuce and avocado, first it took a long time although the place was almost empty, second I almost could not find the avocado, I think they only put two mini pieces, and third it had so much mayonnaise, everything was swimming in mayonnaise. Not a nice experience.
The staff on sunday afternoon has no care for the customer experience…or really any care to serve anyone. After waiting in line for about 8 minutes i decided to place an online order to walk around the shops and come back. After getting the message our order was ready we get back in line. After basically getting ignored by the staff. I was given 1 small bag after ordering multiple items and a coffee. After saying i was missing the coffee and other items i was given the coffee and she turns to walk away. So i asked for my other items again and finally got them. Im assuming since we ordered online nothing was heated up, so thats on me.
Ive come here many times during the week and have had a normal experience with decent service but this really bothered me as someone also in the service industry. The staffs lack of care and acting like im inconveniencing them was wild.
Wonderful Experience at Roggenart European Bakery, Bistro & Café!
Roggenart has such a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with a cozy ambiance and a beautiful view that added to the experience.
The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can truly taste the quality in every bite. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a relaxing meal, this café is a perfect choice.
I’ll definitely be back to enjoy more of their amazing offerings! Highly recommend!
