I got the stink eye as soon as I walked in from the guy behind the counter, and they're selectively slow with their service. It was empty when we walked in. We ordered a drink and a bagel sandwich each, simple and quick, right? Two other tables of black customers who came in after I ordered got their food before my order was even started, (as evidenced by them coming out and asking to confirm what I wanted on it over 30 minutes since we ordered). Finally I just asked for our food to go.
On top of all that, they messed up our food. Gave us the wrong bagels and slathered it all with about a quarter cup of mayonnaise.
I wouldn't recommend it. Wish I could take my tip back.

Stopped by for a coffee few weeks ago on bike route to Kalmia & found the cappuccino generously served in a glass mug. A nice brisk coffee and a cosy atmosphere brightening up this corner of the Georgia/Alaska Ave intersection.

I am not an egg person. I chose this location cause I saw they had a non egg bagel option. When there, they were out of one of the ingredients so I had to get an egg bagel. BUT IT WAS DELICIOUS. They made me an egg white version of the sandwich which is OFF MENU. Very accommodating and again soooo good even though I generally dislike eggs.
The coffee was delicious. Which is my number one thing.
It was a very cute cafe. It got HOT though because they roasted the coffee beans right there in front of you. Which was also pretty cool to see.
Service was pretty slow. But overall good. Especially considering I ordered off menu.
I really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

Delicious Ethiopian dark roast coffee beans by the pound. Simply the best! We also had a nice lunch there- veggie Combo with several vegetable and lentil dishes on delicious injera. Too much food for the 2 of us so we took some home in a takeout box, along with their offer of additional injera. Wonderful neighborhood spot.

Very rich coffee!
And when I ordered shiro to pick up, I got a generous portion; and they didn’t skimp on the injera, either.
Tried their Macchiato and loved it! Service was also friendly. Would definitely go back.
