In a food business, why are you standing around when customers are waiting for their food? It is an open kitchen, so you can see how the cooks handle your food. THE LINE COOKS DON'T CARE, IT'S A PAYCHECK. THE LAMB IS HEATED UP AND TASTES OLD, THE SALAD IS NOTHING BUT WELTED TOMATOES, BROWN LETTUCE, AND BAD CHEESE BLOCK. I don't think there is any urgency to serve your customers with a smile or to provide customer service. Some people have been laid off (Government), and if you don't want to work, then DON'T. The business is based on your attitude, your cleanliness, work ethic, and customer service; if they are bad, the business will lose money and customers.

I visited this location a few weeks ago. I hadn't been in a few years, but they crossed my mind after a lab appointment with fasting set for 1:00 pm got delayed and was not finished until 3:00 pm. I was starving! The restaurant was clean and ordering was quick and easy. My food was good as usual but it was not hot (nor warm) and looked like it was thrown together by a man I had seen before - maybe the manager. I watched him make my order with one hand while he had his cell phone in the other. I had to ask again for extra tomatoes/onions. I was so hungry I didn't mind any of this! But this review is more so about the young man behind the counter. He was extremely polite and courteous. Also very attentive. I approached the counter while he was ringing another customer, and he acknowledged me immediately instead of ignoring me until he was finished like most places would have. I sat down to eat my food there, and when it wasn't busy he was restocking utensils, clearing tables, and attending to the overall cleanliness of the store. I was so impressed with his work ethic. It's too bad more young folks at these restaurants don't have the same attitude. The young man's name is Kevin and you all should give him a raise! He definitely puts your best face forward!!!

After placing a mobile order, I accidentally showed up to the wrong Silver Spring location. The young girl taking orders noticed I was at the wrong location and called their other location to let them know. Instead of me having to go to the other location to get my food, they made my order right away. Quick service, their gyro bowl is very flavorful. Delicious rice pudding too!

I’ve been to a few of this franchise in the DMV, some friendly some not too friendly. However, this particular location is very welcoming, kind and the REAL PRIZE is their “steak and provolone pita!!!!!!” Amazingly scrumptious.

My second time and this is place is consistently great! I had the classic gyro - hot, fresh, tasty! I tired something new - the spicy feta. Also, very good. My daughter is vegetarian and loves The Big Greek Cafe as much as me (which is a HUGE plus)! Highly recommend- no reservations.

The gyros were very flavorful! A little heavy on the salt however.

They don’t have the authentic people cooking the food so the flavors weren’t there at all. It was edible but wouldn’t go back to that location at all. The staff was very immature and treating the job like a hang out.

One of our go-to places for a quick meal! It's simple and clean and service is always friendly and efficient! We like the Wednesday night gyro deal and the fries!!
