Not a bad experience, but I don’t recommend visiting them

Everything was mediocre. Except the price, definitely overpriced.

Went on a Sunday night, completely empty. Cute decor though. Music was cool.
Service, he was nice but like service was very bare minimum. He didn’t do a bad job, he literally just did his job.
Food, wouldn’t come back. Not nasty, but flavor wasn’t there, especially not for the price. $76 for 2 meals, NO DRINKS.
18% gratuity added.

I had the displeasure of dining at Black Diamond Restaurant and Lounge on Friday, June 6, 2025, and I truly wish I had gone elsewhere.
When I arrived, my friend was already seated. The restaurant was nearly empty just us and a couple at the bar, so only four customers total yet service was still shockingly bad. I was greeted by a server wearing headphones, which set the tone for what turned out to be a disorganized and unprofessional experience.
We asked if happy hour was available, and the server said yes. We ordered jerk wings, mango habanero wings, suya, and two drinks. Here's how it went:
• The jerk wings were clearly old and tasted stale.
• The suya was dry and served with onions that were anything but fresh.
• Only the mango habanero wings were decent, and they seemed to be the only thing made fresh while we waited.
• The drinks took over 25 minutes to arrive, even though the server was also the bartender and had almost no one else to attend to.
• Our food took 40 minutes, which is unacceptable with such a low customer volume.

To make matters worse, when my friend wanted to order another drink and a chicken patty, we couldn’t get anyone’s attention she had to walk to the bar herself twice just to place the orders. There were only two other customers in the restaurant, so the lack of attention was baffling.

To top it off, the bathroom had a leak every time the toilet was flushed, water would leak from the side hose. Definitely not what you'd expect from an establishment that charges over $100 for two people with mediocre food.

When the bill came, we were hit with a mandatory 18% gratuity, which was insulting considering how bad the service was. I would have honestly left no tip if I had the choice.

This place has potential, but it's horribly mismanaged. The ambiance is fine, but that’s about where the positives end. How does a restaurant not have proper happy hour service on a Friday, yet still charge like it’s a premium experience?

Save your time, money, and patience. Go somewhere that actually values its customers. Black Diamond is not it.

This was my first time dining at the restaurant. First off the atmosphere was everything. Anything after that was subpar. There was 3 people in my party. 2 separate bills. Keep that in mind. It took a while for someone to come take our drink order but when she did we were offered water. We all accepted and she poured it from a pitcher at the able. The very last cup she poured came with a dead fly. No neither of us touched the water. When the waiter finally came he asked what we wanted to drink. Everything we asked for was unavailable . Typical drinks. Lemonade, Sprite and Diet Coke to be exact. He had neither so we asked what was available. Our options were cranberry juice, pineapple juice and regular coke. Ooook. We were ready to order. All of us got the same thing. Rasta Pasta Alfredo 18.99. Assuming for the price it came with chicken being that further down there were salmon and shrimp rasta pasta for 32.99. Nah. Thank goodness I asked because had I not we would have gotten straight pasta for 18.99 the protein was an additional cost. So we all added chicken additional 8 dollars. Nope we weren’t told the cost of the protein but whatever. While I orders I saw “Jamaican Beef Patties” 8 dollars under the appetizers… thinking ok it’s under appetizers and there’s a picture of more than one so I’ll get some on my tab for the table…… almost an hour later I was served one thin beef patty on a small saucer. So the 3 of us split it . Yeah it gets better. Soon after we received our pasta. Which should be name Rasta pasta soup because never have I been to a restaurant where the chicken in served swimming in the Alfredo rather than served on top of the pasta. It looked like there was a giant pot of pasta and were just scoop out our portion and plopped in a bowl. None of the peppers were diced and there were stalks of broccoli. Talk about bad presentation. Needless to say we ate a few spoons of the soup which didn’t have a bad taste it just looked horrible. Oh yea I forgot there a was real flower sitting slap dead in the middle of the pasta. Horrible. For 18.99 no bread no side salad no nothing. The waitress never came back for refills and to top it off there was 18% gratuity on a single party check. So yeah. Never again.

The food was delicious. They need more staff to handle big parties. The br unch menu needs more options and unlimited.

Cover charge is ridiculous, they only except payments in cash, cash app, or zelle. Way better lounges to go to in Silver Springs. I didn’t think it was worth what I paid.

The worst bday brunch I ever had and I brought out of town people…… it was my birthday weekend.. the food was horrendous. The service horrible. The hostess was on her business but trying to pick up guest to take home is not cute.
