This place is a laid-back and excellent place to meet and mingle with people. The servers are excellent. Coffee varieties, cake and pastries are Yamhy which keeps me going back almost every day. Keep up the good work!!

Black Lion Coffee,, Where Productivity Goes to Take a Nap

Walking into Black Lion Coffee feels like stepping into that friend’s living room who somehow owns six different types of throw pillows but still makes it look chic. The atmosphere is so relaxed that even your to-do list will quietly close itself and take a seat.

The coffee? Bold enough to make you believe you could start a side hustle before lunch, smooth enough to make you forget you’ve been starting a side hustle. And let’s talk pastries: they have so many options it’s less of a café and more of a carb-based art gallery.

Croissants, muffins, tarts, and if it’s flaky or sugary, it’s here, probably whispering your name.

The vibe is calm without being sleepy, hip without being pretentious. It’s the kind of place where you’d write a novel, or at least pretend to write one while accidentally eating two scones.

In short: come for the coffee, stay for the pastries, and accept that you’re going to lose track of time, and maybe adopt a new personality as a chill, mysterious café regular.

Upon entering this coffee shop, that is walking distance to several other shops, i stood at the counter waiting to be helped. No one as much as greeted me, nor stated that they’d be with me shortly. It’s the small acts of hospitality that can make or break an experience. I decided to try the spot up the street instead.

The owner Abdu, who i have yet to meet and compliment, did not cut corners. I work in real estate development, construction and marketing consulting, from the floor to the ceiling to the wall, he used the whole space as a canvas to create something gorgeous, high quality materials designs and using the space itself to Tell the story of coffee and this café. Live plants too! It's really the most BEAUTIFUL CAFÉ I've ever seen. The ambiance is amazing. The staff are friendly. The Coffee is great. Even the APRONS are gorgeous. Abdu put thought into every little thing and spent serious money on building and designing this place, at least $230,000 - $400,000 .Whether it's a date, a work day or a business meeting, this place is amazing. I want to meet him soon and actualy work together on the next shop. This would be great in some of the new developments happening in DC. Mabrook mashallah mashallah mashallah

I like this place.But there is a bad toilet odor in this corner.I don’t know it comes from the cafe restroom or the pipes.Can you fix it some how please?

This place have a nice atmosphere and good pastrie selection and they are delicious. But if you're a coffee lover this is not a place to enjoy a good quality coffee. I wish they serve a good coffee drink since they have in-house coffee roster. The coffee test is burnt, when I drink the coffee I felt the terrible completely burnt coffee to my stomach.

I am a coffee lover, and a bit of a hobbyist. I love trying local, small business cafes and roasters, and black lion was no exception. The atmosphere was nice and exciting, and the attention to dietary restrictions is great to see! The cortado I purchased was fantastic, they do not hide bad espresso with milk. Definitely a recommendation

Black Lion 🦁 is the local coffee shop we’ve all been waiting for in the area. Amazing pastries, food, dessert and coffee (amongst other drinks). The vibe is chill, decor is perfection and staff is friendly and accommodating. Please check them out and support local businesses. Also kid friendly 😊

I am a regular customer at your store. After finishing my grocery shopping, I recently needed to use the restroom. About two weeks ago, the cashier informed me that it was out of service. Unfortunately, today I had an urgent need again, but was told it still hasn’t been fixed.

I find it surprising that it has taken this long for the restroom to be repaired. For the comfort and convenience of your customers, I kindly request that you either make the restroom available as soon as possible or clearly post a sign stating that there is no customer restroom.
