Stopped by here to pick up some small cakes for a birthday. Everything looks beautiful and I hope to go back to try out all the breads they had.
I was a little disappointed that they don’t have slightly larger containers for the cakes that have the pretty strawberries on top. It got squished when the lid was closed. They just looked so pretty.
One of the pastry display cases did have a lot of condensation built up on the top, and there were pastries underneath without any covered…made me hesitate on ordering anything from that container.

I ordered salteñas two days ago—half meat and half chicken. When I received my order, it wasn’t what I had requested; they just apologized. It was embarrassing to show up to my colleagues with the wrong order. I’ll try another bakery next time.

The flan here is amazing and I want to marry it. The empanadas and other snacks are good. Give it a try but I swear by that flan. Some batches are a miss but come back another time and surely it will hug your tastebuds

The. Bread is excellent, with good flavor but I also purchased 2 Saltenas thinking I will have partial lunch, and let me tell you the are not good, they are cold, dry only 2 bites, and the rest I throw away, I don't recommend Saltenas

That place is disgusting, rats roam around the store normally, and there are cockroaches in the bread, the cakes are sour and damaged.

I went to Caramelo for the first time today. They have an extensive selection of pastries and cakes that you can choose yourself. All the rolls and pastries I bought were excellent, and the Palmeras fueron muy ricas! The service was very fast and courteous. Prices were very fair for the large pastries they serve. I will definitely return!
That place is in super bad condition, there are rats and cockroaches inside, and that does not matter to them nor does it prevent them from making the bread and food there, the oil in the empanadas is super old, and the cockroaches walk through the bread

Great birthday cakes! Caramelo bakery is the best bakery in Wheaton. They have fresh and delicious cakes made on the same day. We buy birthday cakes there for our family parties and they’re always a success. Everybody enjoy and compliment the cakes. The bakery also has amazing empanadas. Staff is kind even when the bakery is busy and crowded.
