Had a great pour over and Doug was amazing, and knowledgeable!

Stumbled upon this gem on my way out of the doctor’s office and I cannot believe I didn’t know this place before!!

The person serving was incredibly kind and helpful. 100% recommended (especially the fresh pour over). Will definitely be back!

Literally the best cup of coffee I've ever had. Without exaggerating. I'm a decaf coffee drinker so finding good decaf is near impossible. Not only do they have decaf, you can pick your roast level! I never drink coffee black, but I didn't have to add anything to this cup. 7/5 stars. Can't recommend highly enough!

I found Celtic Cup Coffee to be a very unique and interesting shop. The owner, Doug, served the coffee- expertly produced with an optimized process. In speaking with him, I was impressed with his considerable knowledge of the subject. All the production aspects, from roasting to grinding to brewing, are performed with every possible attention to the myriad details that make a superlative cup. The store is equipped with pneumatic-tube automation to move the beans through the process- an innovative design collaboration involving the architect. There is a counter with comfortable chairs, and also plenty of seating outside. With several varieties offered, different beans can be mixed exactly to the customer's preference. I had a deliciously mellow recipe with a pleasant aftertaste of fruit (I sensed tangerine and banana), and absolutely no bitterness. Afterward, I felt pleasantly energized, but not at all jittery. Here, you will find great coffee in an appealing environment. And, if you like traditional Celtic music, you'll also find it to be a feature of this charming little shop.

Enjoyed a tasty cup of fresh roasted coffee, and learned quite a bit from Doug. Left with a nice bag of Costa Rican dark roast. This visit was new experience- getting beans roasted while you enjoy a cup, highly recommended. Thanks Doug!

This was a true coffee experience. Doug was great at explaining how they roast their coffee and what kind of flavor component to expect. You'll only fine black coffee here, no artificial flavors, lattes or cappuccinos here. If you are a true black coffee lover, then this is a MUST try!! Allow yourself to spend a good 30-40 minute there for the coffee experience.

Excellent coffee roasts. This is my new go-to place for coffee beans.

While there are a lot of coffee places in silver spring, none of them focus on a choice of high quality beans, roasted to order. I recommend ordering beans online then getting a pour over when you pick it up.

One would think what new could a coffee shop offer these days, but this one, it seems, can. They have veriety of roasts of coffee and brewing options. This is the first time, light roast did not taste like grass to me! They also have lovely coffee related stuff and beans at the price, which wouldn't break your budget. Oh, and do try their cascara tea!!
