We cannot recommend Emelie Corcoran of Corcoran Caterers highly enough!! From the very beginning, Emelie and her team were an absolute dream to work with and truly helped bring the wedding of our dreams to life yesterday.

Emelie was incredibly responsive, patient, and accommodating with every single request we made. She went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect, always willing to hop on a quick call and ease our minds whenever we felt stressed. Honestly, whenever we worried the wedding might turn into a disaster, we reassured ourselves with one thought: we had Emelie on our team, and she would save the wedding no matter what! (Sorry for the pressure, Emelie! 😊). In so many ways, she acted not just as our caterer but also as our wedding planner, and we will forever be grateful we chose her.

And the food — WOW!!! It was nothing short of outstanding! Somehow, it was even better on the wedding day than at our tasting, and Emelie seamlessly incorporated every change we had requested. Our guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything was, and we couldn’t agree more. :)

On the day itself, everything ran flawlessly. Every transition, event, and meal felt perfectly timed and aligned with the vision we had shared. As far as we know, nothing went wrong all day — and that’s because Emelie was behind the scenes, calm and collected, orchestrating everything so we didn’t have to worry about a thing.
We told everyone throughout the process how much we adored our caterer, and one of our favorite details is that Emelie loves our venue so much that she chose it for her own wedding. We hired Corcoran Caterers for our wedding in April 2025 and can not recommend them enough for anyone who is looking for a caterer that will go above and beyond. They are amazing at what they do!
We love food and we wanted our wedding to feel like an intimate dinner party we were throwing for our friends and family which made the food integral to the overall feel and meaning of the event. To this end, we wanted to customize the hors d'oeuvres, the reception dinner, and the cocktails to create a whimsical feeling where our guests were delightfully surprised with every dish and drink they would come across.
From the start, Emelie made us feel at-home and took all the pressure off of us. She has a true passion for food and was an excellent collaborator throughout the whole process. She provided us with an excellent starting point and made on-point suggestions to improve the feel of every dish. Her attention to detail with the table settings, ingredient choices on the dishes and the planning of the operational flow of the event was remarkable.
The day of the wedding, the food was amazing and the service was above and beyond. When dinner was being served, the entire waitstaff would come and line up around the tables and serve the dishes at the same exact time. We were frequently checked on to make sure that we were well-fed and had everything we needed. They made it seem like things were just magically refilling themselves throughout the evening. They made sure that everyone was happy.
Two months after the wedding, our friends and family are still raving about how tasty the food and the drinks were. Do yourselves a favor and hire Corcoran Caterers for your event. If we had another wedding tomorrow, we would 100% want to work with Emelie and the Corcoran team again.

We couldn’t have been more thrilled to have Corcoran as our wedding caterer. From our very first meeting through the big day, my husband and I kept saying how grateful we were that we chose them. Corcoran handled both our catering and all of our rentals—and absolutely nailed it.

The food was exceptional. We’re still getting texts from guests saying it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had—some even said it was the best event food, period! We got compliments on everything from the starter salad to the passed hors d’oeuvres. I wasn’t initially excited about the beer corn fritter, but it ended up being my favorite bite of the night.

But what truly set our experience apart was working with Jordan. I honestly can’t say enough positive things about her. She became like a second planner for us—offering expert guidance, always responding quickly and thoroughly, and saying yes to every single request with grace and positivity. I had so much trust in her judgment, and she never steered us wrong.

One week before the wedding, in a moment of pre-wedding panic, I decided I wanted to change our napkin fold. Jordan didn’t just talk me through options—she went to the showroom, set up our exact table settings, tested multiple options, photoshopped in our decor, and sent over a mini lookbook… only for me to choose the original one. That’s the level of above-and-beyond care she provided.

On the day of the wedding, I shared a special moment with Jordan about my grandmother, who had passed before the wedding. She held my hand, we shed a tear together, and I felt so supported and comforted by her presence. It meant the world to me.

We will absolutely be recommending Corcoran—and specifically Jordan—to all of our friends getting married, as well as to colleagues planning corporate events at 101 Constitution, where we got married. We had Corcoran provide everything we needed for an afternoon spring indoor/outdoor spring reception at Woodend. It was particularly challenging since we were making all the arrangements remotely. Sam(antha) was incredibly helpful, responding quickly to all our questions, and making suggestions that might have to be adapted to the weather conditions that day. The food was outstanding, with many of our guests commenting on how much they enjoyed it. And the staff was extremely efficient and professional - a well-oiled machine with getting everything set-up and cleaned up afterward. I can't say enough good things about them, and would definitely recommend them to anyone considering which caterer to hire.

Corcoran was great for our February 2025 wedding! We worked with Jordan and she was fantastic. We went through a few iterations of the menu and they were super helpful every step of the way. They also worked super well with our wedding planners and venue staff. Food was great as well! We got our cake through them and loved the chocolate/raspberry and lemon/pistachio flavors. We got a lot of compliments on the cake.

We had the immense pleasure of working with Emelie from Corcoran Caterers for our wedding, and she exceeded all of our expectations. Emelie is incredibly warm and personable, making the entire planning process enjoyable and stress-free with her caring approach. Emelie's team also went above and beyond by developing several new dishes from a family recipe book to honor the bride's late mother, which we served as appetizers and desserts. The care and precision with which they executed these recipes were truly impressive. Friends and family commented about how well Emelie had nailed the bride’s mom’s recipes!

Emelie is exceptionally detail-oriented, caring, and flexible when we wanted to add unique elements to our food/drinks. She was always able to creatively problem-solve and provide valuable recommendations for any issues that arose during the planning process, no matter how small. We even texted her at one point to coordinate napkin-folding looks based on our paper menu sizes, and she was super responsive and thoughtful in giving napkin-folding input. Emelie has a way of making you feel like you are her only client! She was proactive in anticipating our needs, a strong communicator, and was always available to answer questions, offer suggestions, and provide support.

We must also discuss the FOOD – it was absolutely phenomenal! Emelie's team delivered high-quality, flavorful, and beautifully presented dishes that our guests raved about, from the passed hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour to the entrees at the reception. We got to try every dish and each one was somehow even better than the tasting (and we loved our tasting)! Corcoran also nailed the signature cocktails. We iterated through several versions of cocktails until we found two that represented us well, and guests raved about them. Corcoran baked our beautiful wedding cake too! They used a recipe from the bride’s mom (tasted just the way the bride remembered!), and they decorated it exactly like the inspiration photos we sent. We also found it helpful that we could rent all of our linens, tableware, chairs, etc through Corcoran. They have a nice variety of looks, and we found it so easy that we could work with one vendor on all of that.

Emelie and her team also epitomized professionalism, seamlessly managing everything on the day of the event. This allowed us to truly relax and enjoy every moment. Every detail, from appetizers to the main course, to desserts, to late-night bites was meticulously planned and executed. Corcoran Caterers truly brought our culinary vision to life. She even made the groom’s dream of espresso martini shooters come true!

Emelie was our guardian Angel through out our wedding planning experience. She was not just our caterer, she was our confidant, sometimes therapist lol, and the only vendor I would turn to, to get thoughts on literally EVERYTHING wedding related (even honeymoon planning :) lol ). It got to the point where my now husband then fiancé would say, “Well, have you run this by Emelie?” My wedding planner would say, “What does Emelie think?” We all recognized, very early, her experience and knowledge of the wedding space were bar none. Emelie was, simply put, our safe space! When Emelie was on vacation halfway across the world and we had some last minute changes occur with our venue, Emelie was on the phone with us (2 am her time) helping us navigate this challenge.

I’m Haitian American and my husband is Ethiopian American. Emelie and her team blew us out the park with their tasty food. It’s one thing for your food to look good (food was always presented beautifully) but their food tasted absolutely delicious. I was so impressed Emelie and her team were able to make a very traditional Haitian inspired dish (diri Djon Djon) for our wedding. My family and friends are tough critics; however, literally all our guest complimented us on how good the food was.

There are so many things to consider when it comes to the caterer you choose for your wedding. Let’s face it, we are in a HCOL in the DMV. I did not know what was reasonable for wedding catering costs. I received about 15+ quotes from other catering companies of the same caliber as Corcoran. Emelies prices were competitive and she also provided insight on multiple ways we could save.

Arguably food and venue are what your guest are going to remember the most. When considering potential caterers I prioritized reviews, experience, and vibes. You want to go with a caterer who has good energy because this is the energy you will receive through out the planning experience and on your wedding day. One of my bridesmaids came with us to our first tasting with Corcoran and said, “Emelie literally has the sweetest soul.” We could tell everything she presented to us was intentional and had a lot of care placed into it.

I say all of this to say, stop your search. If you need a wedding caterer, Corcoran is it. So many of our other vendors spoke highly of Emelie and her team, their amazing reputation precedes them (rightfully so). I won’t be getting married again but when my husband and I recommit to each other in 10 years you better believe we are going to use Emelie and her team!!!

Hands down the best caterer ever. Used them for our wedding and all the guests said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Food came out on time, hot and delicious. We also used them for our post wedding brunch and there were no leftovers! They were great with accommodating food allergies! Emelie was amazing to work with. I used Corcoran Caterers for my 50th birthday celebration, which was a cocktail party for about 50 guests. Their services were simply fantastic! Very responsive team, delicious food, terrific selections of mixed drinks (the bartender was really wonderful), overall the entire team is extremely professional! Melanie Davis was responsible for my event and she is wonderful. Highly recommend!
