Our group of 4 had an amazing, affordable meal at Dessie! Winta was kind and provided excellent service. The veggie combo was perfect - we had a wonderful time. Thanks!

Hubby took me here for a special occasion lunch. It was a quiet hole in the wall place with delicious food. And the manager even went out of her way to demonstrate to us how to eat properly. We have been to Ethiopian restaurants many many times, and this was the first time someone went out of their way to improve our experience! Thank you!

Ordered food during store hours. Went to pick up and the store is closed. Hours of operation stated it was open for at least 2 hours. I called the number listed and they stated come back in 10 minutes. What is going to happen in 10 minutes? Is a ghost going to cook my food? I came back in 20 minutes to allow the ghost time to prepare food. No one showed up. Run, dont walk away from restaurant.

Small restaurant and shop side by side run by a lovely couple. They are both very hospitable, the food was extremely good, once the meat dishes are ordered, they gave us complementary vegetarian dishes as well. Super place.

Order took 30 minutes longer than expected. Restaurant forgot to pack salad with our order. Vegetarian platter was very bland - almost no taste.

The food was hot and delicious, prices were reasonable, and the people were very nice!

Food took a very long time even though we were the only ones there and you could hear the microwave in the back, and then arrived only barely warm. The veggie (lentil, yellow split peas, collard greens, beets, cabbage) platter was, still, very good. I've had better, though, so I'm just not sure I'd go back. Parking was easy, which is also important!

I really enjoyed this place excellent home made Injera, and there draft beer is so cold and cool . Remarkable customer service. Owned and operated by an Ethiopian family. I always felt like home when I am there . Stay blessed and kudus to you all.✌?

Waited forever, then got food that was barely edible. Service was abominable.

(NOTE: All of the reviews previous to mine were written under other management so it's a shame they didn't change the name when they got new ownership! The bad reviews are unfair!) Four of us went in on a Saturday around 7:30pm and it was virtually empty. We met the two women who had just bought and opened up the place two weeks prior. They did everything--cook, wait tables, etc. We wanted a lot of different things but we wanted to share so the owner suggested a one dish for everyone. When it came it was one giant dish in the middle of our 4-person table and it had doro wot (chicken in spices) and awaze (beef) and then practically every vegetable in the place (cabbage, lentils, peas, etc.). They brought tons of injera. We had a feast! The food was fabulous! I highly recommend this place because it is a really good addition to the Ethiopian restaurant scene. Also, they have a parking lot with reserved spaces (for their customers) a few doors down. That's a huge plus!

The food was great. BUT the injera was cold and I cant stand that. Food could have been hotter but taste was indeed great. Next time I ask for warm/hot injera when I order. Great and friendly service.Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options, this is always the case with Ethiopian food.Parking: Parking lot right next to restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible.
