Perfect brunch spot - quiet with attentive service and lovely cocktails. This has become our regular brunch spot for reliably great food.
This was our first experience at District Bistro. The atmosphere is quiet and enjoyable. The food was very good. We shared two "small plates," as well as a main entree. We enjoyed all that we had. It's a shame, however, that the restaurant uses cheap cutlery and napkins that are too small to be useful. The forks and knives looked like they were from a dollar store, uncomfortable to hold and the knife was not up to cutting even the lettuce in our salads. The napkin was so small it didn't even cover part of my lap. This really detracted from what was otherwise a very enjoyable meal.
Cute place, pretty quiet, reasonable entree prices, wide variety of food choices, easy parking, good service
First, the waitstaff is delightful and knowledgeable and helpful. Second, the food is delicious. We had the appetizer of the day which was billed as crab beignets - fried but not greasy, very tasty - not sure if I'd called them beignets, but three to an order was perfect to share. My husband had the fish of the day - he almost licked the plate it was so good. I had the quinoa bowl. Everything was nicely cooked, not over sauced, and the beets were so amazingly good - I wish I could make them - a little vinegary, and warm, and yummy. Our only sadness was we were too full for dessert.

Upscale American Bistro. The service and food were excellent. Lots of interesting items on the menu and all the ones we tried were delicious. Service was knowledgeable, smooth, and polished. We'll be back.

Had lunch there with two of town friends. We each ordered something different—from lamb bolognese to salmon avocado burger—and all four of us loved our choices and would recommend DB highly!

I don't even know where to begin! My friend and I loved it. We went tonight at 5:30 feeling quite like two old ladies who usually go for the early bird specials...but we're not. Actually, we're quite rather sophisticated diners and District Bistro did not disappoint. While they say it's American food, it goes well beyond that with food tastes adopted and loved by the diverse palates found in America. I tried to categorize it as this cuisine or that cuisine and finally just settled on 'great cuisine.'
The wine selection was good and we both found what we liked. The cocktails looked delicious but we stuck with wine. We'll try those another time. We shared the pistachio dukka with harissa - delicious - and I had the shawarma bowl. Must say, it was better than any similar bowl I've had. I did add extra harissa to it just because I like a bit more spice but the flavors were fine without that. My friend had the pappardelle with wild mushrooms and other combinations of flavors that did not disappoint.
This being a Tuesday night we wondered how many customers they would get (yes, we were there ridiculously early and the only diners for about an hour!) but by the time we left other diners were coming steadily in.
I will be back next week with my husband and District Bistro will go into our regular rotation for when we're in town.
How wonderful to have this gem in Wheaton!

Went for Restaurant Week brunch. Had lobster bisque, chicken with waffles, and peach cobbler. All were fine and would like to have tried some of the other dishes. Only problem was the price was $35, not the $25 posted on the Restaurant Association website.
District Bistro has excellent food and service. I highly recommend the burrata salad and any dish with the fresh pasta. Service was quick and friendly. I've been twice and plan to go again.

Met a friend I hadn’t seen in awhile, enjoyed sitting in the cute alcove. Not rushed at all through our meal and we ended up being the last to leave.Wonderful service. We both enjoyed the Wahoo (fish) - delicious. This place always does everything so well. The server noticed we left an umbrella and ran out to catch us - very thoughtful.

Service was fantastic -- attentive and friendly but unobtrusive. The peach/bourbon cocktail was exceptional. Food was excellent albeit a little pricey. The beet/burrata small plate was earthy and nicely accented with garlic and herbs. It came with a slice of lightly toasted bread -- could've used a second slice. The reduction on the duck breast was fantastic, risotto perfectly al dente yet creamy. The seafood stew was full of shrimp, scallops, and fish and very flavorful. Again, came with a slice of bread with a pesto spread. Two slices would've been better. The creme brulee was good -- had a pistachio adn stewed peach topping. Cant' say the peach topping added much. The one thing that surprised me is that when we left at 7:45, there were only a handful of tables filled. Seems odd for a Saturday night since this place is really cozy, and the food and service was fantastic.
What an unexpected pleasure to find this gem in Wheaton!! Found myself there only because it was convenient for others I was meeting who work nearby. My burger was actually top notch! Atmosphere was clean, comfortable and cute. Service was great - attentive but not too much. We pondered at the eclectic menu options and then all enjoyed our food. I think they are kinda newish so wish them the best of luck. Stop in, you will not be diappointed. You may even surprised, like I was!
