A hidden gem in downtown Wheaton. Chef and staff really care about this place and it shows. Food and cocktails exceeded expectations while wait staff truly cared about your experience.

Sophisticated food at a fair price. The drinks were made perfectly. The space feels so welcoming and appropriate for any event: family dinner, date night, brunch with your girls, or a friends get together. I will definitely be returning and trying everything on the menu.

We came here after reading the online reviews. This is one of the few times we've seen 5 star reviews, gone to the restaurant and recieved a 1 star experience. The food was delicious. The restaurant itself has an old dingy vibe to it. The staff was uninterested at best. We came on Thursday during primetime and the place stayed almost empty the whole time we were there, which is very telling. Not recommended.

Tastes like food from a high end DC restaurant in a casual, warm, slightly shabby space. Honestly, really enjoyed our night and loved the food. Service was too slow (but work hard) and we definitely enjoyed our night.

The gem of the Wheaton Triangle! Excellent menu, creative options. For my money, my favorite restaurant in Wheaton.

Have been here a number of times. Spouse had a burger, as usual excellent, server followed preparation instructions well. Ordered the New England clam chowder. Have previously had their vegetable soup which was excellent. The chowder was especially tasteless and bland. Have had better from Costco. Ordered the soft shell special. The crab was fine, properly prepared but the mess it sat on was a mustard reduction with sweet potato and ham and spinach which frankly I did not like, almost bitter and too much mustard. Should have asked for tartar sauce. Have had their soft shell as a sandwich which was excellent. Service was excellent and ambience pleasant. Live and learn

Wonderful food at District Bistro, a casual dining spot in Wheaton. Our salmon burgers were really really tasty as were the crisp french fries. A sauvignon blanc from California was an excellent choice. The air conditioning was a bit too high and the noise level also too high. Perhaps some dampening material would help with sound volume and a lowered temperature would be appreciated. District Bistro is a great addition to the restaurant choices in Wheaton!

Stopped in for a late lunch and everything was amazing. Much thanks to the Chef that special made my mother's meal due to her swallowing inability. They went above and beyond! My grain bowl was out of this world.

I have been here twice and really enjoyed the food both times. I got take-out for my father's birthday the first time and the seared sea scallops were a winner, along with the clam chowder. We liked it so much we came back for brunch on the weekend and were delighted by the seasonal specials: a fried tomato and pimento cheese appetizer and an heirloom tomato salad. The fried chicken and waffles was delicious. They have a nice selection of beers on tap as well as a good wine selection and thoughtful cocktail list. We will definitely be back.

Kid-friendliness: We came here for brunch with kids ages 1, 5 ,and 8 years old. The server was helpful and patient, offering to customize the bistro burger to be totally plain (no cheese, no sauce) for the 8-year old diner. They also offered to bring out the kids' food first and did so, which was appreciated.

Love everything about this lovely restaurant. The food, tuna taquitos tartar were delicious, melt in your mouth. The kale cesar was light and refreshing. Service was good. The only suggestion I would make is to have the servers dress a bit more professional. We could not differentiate servers from guests which was confusing. The vibe was formal dining, but servers looked like you were in a burger joint. Overall, would go back, the food is truly to die for?

Our appetizers were the highlights, especially the fried green tomatoes. The steak in the steak frites tasted a little off to my son. Overall, great experience. Creative and well-executed menu. Friendly, efficient service. Good value. A great addition to the area. Thank you, Pedro Matamoros!
