Authentic foods and very friendly customer service.Ella made us feel at home(She is awsome) We ate Tihlo(Traditional food from Adigrat, tigrai, Ethiopia which is made of Barley(very healthy by the way) and it felt like home. The tihlo pinch-thrower( new word alert for mewdekit lol) girl was very clean and skillful too.

Wonderful dining experience! The Derek tibs and the fish dulet was incredibly flavorful, well-seasoned, and delicious. Everything tasted authentic and satisfying. On top of the great food, the customer service from Ella was outstanding. She was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. From the moment we walked in, everything felt warm, intentional, and special. Our server, Ella, was truly exceptional — kind, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the traditions behind Ethiopian food and wine in a way that felt generous and soulful.
And then… when she learned we had just gotten engaged, she surprised us with a celebratory cheesecake 🥹 — a moment of hospitality that made our night even more wonderful.
The food itself was the best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had, and I say that as someone who has had many incredible Ethiopian meals. Every dish was rich, balanced, deeply flavorful, and clearly made with care and the best possible ingredients.
Effoi isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience of culture, warmth, and true hospitality. We’ll be dreaming about this meal (and Ella’s kindness) for a long time. Cannot recommend highly enough. 💛🍽️
