No frienly or cordial at All with the customers.
I ask for the very most regular food like pork in the Grill with
Fry plantain with rice and Beans .
It too long to service the meal
Even no many people were inside the restaurant.
Finally we got our food with Attitude.
And them the pork meat
Puro pellego.
It seems like they didn't have enough time to clean the meet before cook.
Very disappointed i confident
100% that never will spend my hard earned money in this place ever Again.
Please be Aware.

Finding a Nicaraguan restaurant is really hard, so I'm glad the first one I went to after coming back from Nicaragua was Gio's. Now I don't have to worry about finding another one.

The owner, Santos, is a great guy, very friendly and accommodating. The menu is varied and still serves chicken, only now it it Nicaraguan style.

This is a great place to try if you want a twist on Hispanic food you've never had before.

The Nicaraguan presence in the DMV is low, so I do not access my people’s food unless I visit my family in Miami. Anyway, that carne asada was bomb. LOTS of maduro which I loved. It was filling and delicious and I was just happy to be there. The food was just right. I will be going there again very soon.

I am Nicaraguan born and raised and I know how difficult it can be to find all the ingredients to get these meals right. So, I will give them so much grace in this aspect because they still make it work. My complain is that the food sometimes inconsistent, and once I placed an order with UberEats, they were out of the drinks I ordered and they only partially refunded them. I placed a complaint through UberEats because I cannot understand the rationale for not refunding my 5 full drinks, that was entitlement behavior.

I live in DC and grew up in Nicaragua. This is the best Nicaraguan food I’ve found in the DMV.

We ordered a few plates Togo. The chicken was dry no flavor, you could tell the fries were reheated, the steak didn’t even look like a piece of meat and it tasted old, the plantains were burnt. We were so disappointed we had to throw away most of our meal. This new management really needs to find a better chef.

It is not cheap but the truth is that it is worth it. I loved the super delicious food and the very good seasoning, but I do think that they should improve customer service. I visited them, it was my first time and I literally spent about half an hour sitting there. The cashier saw us, some girls came to clean the table and no one told us you have to order here at the cashier until I stopped to ask the cashier, all arrogant, told me, don't you see the sign that says order here and I told him, I don't see, well. A plant blocked the view of the sign, they should be a little kind because it was not difficult for them to tell us that they have to order at the checkout 🤷‍♀️ the cashier is a muscular tattooed man, I don't know if he is the owner but he has a horrible, very arrogant attitude as if one could reach ask or bother 😅
