Shirley was an amazing server, attentive and Patient. I had Mofongo de Cameron con ajillo and it was packing flavor. My accompanying party had the fried snapper also with ajillo, beans and rice. We will return for the authentic Dominican flavors. A plus is that they are open until 11pm for late night eats.

Nice option for Dominican food. The flavor was close but they don’t have most menu items available to order. The carne guisada was cold but at least the rice and habichuelas were hot.

Dominican colleague of mines order ones and food was great, I came today to order that same thing, got 1/2 the order (only 3 pieces of cubed beef in an $18 entree) and double the rice. Long Story short of you’re BLACK/ AFRICAN AMERICAN expect to pay double and get 1/2. When I brought it up, after already paying I was told “things change”with a smile…. Pretty disappointing given I walk by everyday.

This was very disappointing. We didn’t get what we expected even though we specifically told our waiter what we were looking for. I ordered yuca and it just didn’t come. I asked for sauce twice and it never came. The food we did get was very basic. You could easily make it yourself - and better. This was without a doubt my worst dinning experience in years. I’m not even exaggerating, If anything I’m being generous, I wanted to like this place.

The best Dominican restaurant in all of Silver Spring! My favorite that brings me back every time is the Monfongo! I highly recommend trying! You will not be disappointed!

I usually go to La Manna in Langley park and I am disappointed, I wish I went but food takes to long to cook but always worth the wait! We walked into store& and immediately felt like we were in one of our Dominican friends home with the music in the background!!! We were greeted! The server was, the hostess, and cashier... she was kind and help us select what we wanted and even made a few alterations since one person in our party couldn't eat rice and beans... our server had to be called many times to the table granted we were the only eating customers at the restaurant. She stud near register playing with her hair or reading and never looking up. But I'm not to mad about it because they're a new restaurant in the area. I am not sure, if you all are familiar with foreign "chicken" (hen, fowl). It's usually really tough and u have to boil it first before fry it and when I say boil I mean for awhile because it's tough. So as u can see in first pic chicken is still raw red, and u cannot eat it. Which means they must of just tried to fry it or didn't boil it at all and outside breading is salty. So we had to leave even though we choose dine in because I didn't want to be rude and tell them to take back the food. So I came home to doctor the chicken. The mofongo was salty as hell. Tostones were good and my nieces rice and beans were good. I was going to order oxtail stew for my mom but changed my mind because of chicken. I was highly disappointed because I had my childhood mothers' - and La Manna chicharron de pollo stuck in my head. You asks would I go back?!.. I am a big believer in giving second chances since I know certain spots can be hit or miss and like I said they are freshly new on the block.. so yes but I def. Will never get Chicharron de pollo or mofongo ever. And I have to wait another year or two. Before I forget we had pollo empanadas and they were ok..

Dominican colleague of mines order ones and food was great, I came today to order that same thing, got 1/2 the order (only 3 pieces of cubed beef in an $18 entree) and double the rice. The food was TOUGH, tons of fat, and not seasoned enough. Long Story short of you're BLACK/ AFRICAN AMERICAN expect to pay double and get 1/2. When I brought it up, after already paying I was told "things change"with a smile.... Pretty disappointing given I walk by everyday.

GuavaBerry is new to the Silver Spring area. It was not crowded when i went but inside was super cute. I love the paintings on the wall. The shrimp with garlic sauce mofongo was delicious and food was very well seasoned. Since they are new they are still doing some inside renovations so be patient. I recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner takeout.

Tried it first time yesterday, and as a dominican im so sorry for giving it 2 star, but the only thing I liked were the fried sweet plantains. The pork, the goat, way too overcooked. The sanchoco: lacked flavor and overcooked until it was goop. Beans tasted like they just came out of a can. My honest review is like a mother is cooking in the back, and my mom is not that greatof a cook, but she can out cook whoever made this.

I was looking forward to trying this new place and happy to have a Dominican restaurant in our neighborhood. However, my wife and I were pretty disappointed when we went a couple months ago shortly after their opening. The food is decent, but not as tasty as La Casa Del Mofongo on Georgia and Seminary. We shared the Chivo Guisado and Carne Guisada. To drink we shared both the Morir Sonado and Chinola. What is most disappointing is the bill had a higher price than the menu. I understand inflation, but restaurants need to be up front about it and update their menus or let the customers know. It very is surprising a brand new restaurant would charge prices higher than advertised. I am disappointed to have to give the only poor review on Yelp. However, hopefully they will use this to learn not to overcharge customers more than advertised prices.

My wife and I are fascinated with the great, and tasty food served here. It was reminiscent of my grandmother cooking as Puertorican and Dominican meals are extremely similar. I ate un bistec ensebollado con arroz y habichuelas y tostones and it was DELICIOUS. My wife ate un Rabo Res and it was the BEST she has ever had, I note that my wife and I are both born and raised in Puerto Rico. I echo her the sentiment with my meal too.The warm-hearted service coupled with the great food made this an excellent experience for us.Tons of success ?! A must visit in you are in the area.

I was happily surprised to see a Dominican restaurant in the area and I had to try it. It's a little place that you can easily miss, so you have to look for it. I asked for a Presidente beer and they don't carry it. No Presidente in a Dominican restaurant??? I ordered the Mondongo and my wife, the Sancocho. After a long wait, I was told that they ran out of the Mondongo, which was a total disappointment as I was so looking forward to enjoy a plate of it. I settled down for the Sancocho. The wait was too long and the food was good but I still have mixed feelings about the place. Too bad.
