Irene's Pupusas was a pleasant surprise. The pupusas and pasteles were delicious. The margaritas were okay, made with a pre-mix, but my family are margarita-snobs. Overall, good experience. I bet it's fun to come on the weekends!
I found Irene's Papusas when my daughter was in dance at D'Anna Dance Studio a few doors down. This is now my family's favorite papusa spot. The food is AMAZING. I typically order by phone for pick up. I don't speak Spanish, but I order by reading directly from the menu and then I provide my name. I never have a problem. The atmosphere is sports bar. The clientele is male. But I have taken my children and my mom there and we felt completely comfortable dining...
It would be nice if you could place pick up orders online, because doing so in English, over the phone is difficult. I was passed to 3 different people while trying to place my order for Pupusas, & they still got the order wrong.
