Smells good in here haven't ate out of here yet but it was packed with elderly Carribean folks eating so u know they don't play about the flavor in they food im confident I'll love it .... Service was fantastic

I ordered this on DoorDash , I got curry shrimp it was soooo delicious. Idk where the bad reviews are coming from, the order came fast and the taste was amazing. They also gave me a side of cabbage which was a very pleasant surprise. Can’t wait to try more items from here

Another Caribbean spot scratched off the list... this is a Guyanese one located in Silver Spring -- not too far from Wheaton Mall. Parking is a tad tight there -- there are only 2 parking spaces designated for Island Zests itself, while the others are for the corresponding businesses they are in front of. There is metered parking there too, but as I said... tight!The inside is open and welcoming... there are a few high tables that are all green, my favorite color! There was one person inside, so while he was ordering, I was looking through the menu. I knew I needed the pumpkin. I also saw doubles... $5 is up there, but I said why not?? When i was my turn, the person taking my orders was super apologetic up front because the guy that just finished ordering got like $300 worth of stuff. He said it would be at least 25 minutes until my order would be ready... perfectly fine! I'm used to wait times like this, but I appreciate that he acknowledged it so. So the time passed by, and it went fast because I was talking with the guy who placed the huge order. It was just fine! So my food arrived shortly after his, and I took it home to excitedly give it a try. I was about 25 minutes from home, and in that time the pumpkin got cold, so I heated it up. Ooooh.... the flavors were yummy!!!!! I... don't even know how to describe how great it was. Now on the other hand, the doubles weren't my favorite. They were wrapped wonderfully, and slightly larger than I expected... but it wasn't bursting with as much flavor as I hoped. I might've been missing the filling too! I loved the dough (bara) though. The doubles wouldn't be a go-to for me, but the pumpkin? Absolutely.I must come back and try more! It's also cool that a whole Rihanna music video marathon was going on while I was in there. That was fun! Looking forward to returning.

Food is good but they’re hardly ever open… Hours online could say open then when you arrive they’re closed. Update your hours Or don’t open a business if you’re never going to be there.

I did a google search for Jamaican food nearby and this establishment came up.As a born and raised Jamaican with an extensive travel history and openly tried different cuisine’s, I do not recommend.Additionally parking is a nightmare!

I’ve been calling this place for like 3 weeks now. No response. Online it says that they use delivery services but when you try to order it says they are closed on all the delivery platforms, even though they are open online. I’ve ate from them one, food was good except the chicken was not fully cooked, also believe the reviews when they say it’s very small portions for the money you pay. You try to support small businesses but they make it so hard. How can you run a business and not answer your phone 3+ weeksSee the below shows you all you need to know. Quite unprofessional and rude. I’ve definitely called on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays. So it’s wrong for trying to still support and hope that it’s just a one time thing? Believe the bad reviews. See how aggressive all the responses to the bad reviews are? This is how your represent your compan? I’ve seen worst reviews and businesses have responded in such a classy and respectful manor.

The veggie sampler with buss up shut is vegan and SO delicious! The curries are freshly made and full of flavor. I absolutely love the paratha/buss up shut; and it's all vegan! Many places use butter in their paratha, but this place doesn't. Prices are very reasonable.
