A welcome variety of food options that were fresh and delicious. Good for both quick takeout and for a sit down meal. If you’re doing take out, make sure you find the market/cafe section or order quickly

This is a combination restaurant and cafe, serving Latin fusion new American food. You can either come from a meal or just a coffee. The coffee and food are good and so are the vibes.

I love this place. I often go there to have their delicious cortado or macchiato with some deserts while reading a book or working on my pc

Not only that food and service was amazing! What happened there restores faith in humanity… we were both a bit under the weather so not perfectly focusing and we happened to forget a name brand purse of very high monetary resale value. The employees kept it safe despite having no identification documents inside. Just a hotel card and a restaurant receipt… they waited until we called a week later asking about it and delivered it back to us! This was by far the best news we heard after thinking that we lost that item.
Thank you Jonathan and everyone there!

This restaurant doesn't know what Café con Leche is. The waiter had to ask me if I wanted whole milk in it. Also, it's ridiculous that I have to pay an extra 5 dollars to add an egg to my dish.

Love this spot in downtown Silver Spring. Great coffee and a menu with so many tasty options for breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner. The vibe is relaxed and friendly and the staff always make you feel welcome. I like that you can grab a quick espresso on the go or sit down and enjoy a full meal with friends. Plenty of seating and a fun energy, especially if you pop in for brunch or happy hour. Highly recommend for coffee lovers and anyone looking for a chill place to eat.

My sisters and I absolutely love Java Nation in Silver Spring—it's one of our favorite spots. They have the best coffee and food selection, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the service is always friendly and attentive.

I have loved Java nation at multiple locations for many years. However when I went to buy coffee this morning, the charge to my credit card was more than what was displayed on the order screen. The cashier explained that there is a 3% charge for use of all credit cards. While I find this annoying, it is certainly within their rights. I said there should be a sign so customers know there will be a surcharge. She pointed to a tiny sign on the opposite side of the store. It's not visible from the ordering counter and it's very difficult to notice at all. If you want to charge people to use credit cards, that's fine. But you should be up front and open about that so customers can make informed choices about how they pay.
The sit down side of the restaurant can be nice. The place is a little pricey for what they offer. Also as I typically just like to run-in the side shop & grab something to go, I have noticed recently a trend of items having run-out. No matter when I try to stop by they’re always out of croissants, breakfast burritos, muffins etc & it just becomes an overpriced Starbucks without any substantial food items but cookies & brownies & parfait. It’s frustrating however because this place doesn’t have easy parking (parking garage), so you stop by their Togo station & there’s nothing but coffee, wine & desserts. Then you’ve wasted the time walking over to see if you could grab a quick breakfast & you either have to decide to spend $15-20 on a quiche or ham & cheddar omelette which takes time to cook, instead of the $5-10 ham & cheese croissant or breakfast burritos. Or you go to the nearest McDonald’s or Starbucks, which at least have cheaper & consistent items.
So I may just stop dropping by because it seems like an expensive frustrating waste of time to not get the quick item I want or spend 2-3x more than I planned.

Service was fast, food amazing. Even the house ketchup tasted great, a little more sour than usual so I know sugar wasn’t added. Our server, Allison was super pleasant and attentive. We ate good and we were there for barely 30 mins. Will definitely be back to try the other stuff in their menu.
