JC Crab House

First time ordering here. I ordered a dozen #1 crabs for take out. The crabs were ready when I arrived and bag was hot.

When I got home poured them out everything looked good. Crabs were lightly seasoned as I requested. Some places pour a huge amount of seasoning into the bag and then you can’t see the crabs well and the bag has a ton of left over seasoning.

JC Crab House put just the right amount of seasoning in my opinion. Crabs were all good and no dried ones or mushy ones.

The only negative is that for $100 for what they charge for a dozen #1, you can get a dozen of large crabs at Conrad’s Crab house in Parkville Md.

Crabs there are equally as good (different slightly spicier seasoning) but JC Crab house is a good option if you aren’t going to drive all the way to Parkville.

JC Crab House has the best seafood and atmosphere. There portions are very generous and the prices are very fair. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning soon.

The crabs are really really good!! Great customer service. Inside could be updated and more welcome. Liquor purchases would be a great addition.

This is a local spot where we pick up take-out from all the time. This evening we brought some out-of-town guests here for blue crabs. We were seated immediately and the crabs were served quickly. It was nice to not have to clean up our dinner mess as we do when we have crabs at home. The staff here is always so pleasant. We will continue to support this small business.

Warning, Warning, Warning, I feel like I went to a casino and gambled with this place. Meaning you hit or miss. We'll, I missed, so I feel like I donated $77 this place. I ordered a Boil with only 1lb crab legs, mussels, potatoes, and corn. Well let me tell you, if it wasn't for me being in alot of pain I would've drive to Hook & Reel. My crab legs were dry like they were old, my potatoes were bitter, my corn seem to be left overs the kernels were so tiny you had to bite around the whole small ear to get a mouth full. The mussels were too big and they taste rubbery. I wanted to take back and get shrimp but with my experience with Asian restaurants. They will not allow you to bring back so that they can correct the situation. I am truly disappointed. My heart was set on crabs but they were very, very, small for the price. So I settled. The place was empty for the 2nd time, I stepped foot in there. That was a red flag. Stay away from this place. It's not worth it. Aug 4th....

Stopped by today in hopes of finding some good seafood for a special occasion and had the most enjoyable time! The service was fast and friendly. The food was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. The price was worth every penny. We will be back very soon!

For Maryland I expect more; like fresh authentic seafood. Ordered the jumbo shrimp, fish and scallops combo basket. It appeared to be the breaded variety that's frozen that you get from Costco or similar. As a DMV stalwart I couldn't eat it. Waste of money. Service was bad. Tip was automatically part of bill. Clearly no incentive to do better.

Everything was good. I ordered a dozen large male crabs, I didn't pre-order just walked in. The crabs were ready in 15 minutes, they were fresh, hot and heavy. I'll be getting my crabs here in the future. 🙂 Very pleased 🙂
