The food here was really good, but unfortunately, the service completely took away from the experience. From the moment we walked in, the hostess was on the phone and barely acknowledged us. Thankfully, the restaurant wasn’t busy, so we were seated right away.

It then took about 10 minutes for a server to greet us, and when she finally did, it felt like being at work was more of an inconvenience for her than providing hospitality. When we placed our order, she also didn’t know which drinks were available and which were out of stock. On its own, that would’ve been a small inconvenience, but paired with everything else, it just added to the frustration.

As someone who works in the industry, I usually have a high tolerance for service mishaps but in this case, there wasn’t any excuse for how untimely and unapproachable the service was. To top it off, when our food (which I actually enjoyed) finally arrived, the utensils hadn’t been properly cleaned. This is one of those scenarios where the staff can genuinely be a restaurant’s downfall. For a place that has such a nice atmosphere and great variety of cuisines, it’s unfortunate that the people working there don’t seem to take pride in showing up and delivering a good experience.

I’d like to give this place another chance because the meal itself was enjoyable, but next time I may just order takeout instead. Overall: 6/10, and that’s only because of the food.

Came here for a quick Sunday lunch. We had a Egusi soup and okra soup for the table end it was absolutely amazing! Our server was Bash and she was phenomenal. Would definitely come back. 💋

This establishment exceeded my every expectation. The service was attentive, the staff friendly, and the food was 10/10! It was my first time having Nigerian food, we tried the jollof, egusi, and puff puff. Everything was delectable and the flavors were balanced and delicious. I recommend the fried chicken.

This place makes me feel like home, the atmosphere, the service was efficient and very polite. To be a local Nigerian and have this authentic spot near me is a piece of home. Thanks for the delicious meal !

Making this review right in the car as I head home so I do not forget. Being from NJ/NY , and as a travel RN, can’t count how many Nigerian restaurants I have stepped my foot in. I ordered their Okra/Ogbono /Fresh fish and it was a 3/10 , the okra/ogbono had ZERO DRAW with no dices of usual stock fish and co in it . I was given ONLY ONE SMALL fresh fish tail and it didn’t hit me until we got the bill , every state I have had Nigerian food , there is no such thing as a MEAL that you ONLY get one small piece of fish to be charged $25 .

I asked the lady in the front and she said oh you ordered fresh fish , I said does it only comes with one? She said yes , I said you meant one small piece ? She said you ordered fresh fish , and I am like SO? It should be at least two. That was it for me, no way I m returning to such place , for someone that’s traveled and had Nigerian food all over the states in the US, this is ridiculous.

Wish I had taken videos for the okro/ogbono : ZERO DRAW , ZERO taste.

Do not order their okro/ogbono if you really are a lover of this soup. And know you will only get one small fish if you ordered their fresh fish.

And mind you we drove 55 minutes from VA just to get here….. Never again

I just ordered egushie soup with eba on Thursday, August 21,2025 at 8pm from your Silver Spring location and it was delicious but please, the salt content is just too much.
I'll appreciate if that is reduced, so we don't get High Blood Pressure!!

When I say AMAZING! Everything was 120/100! I can’t believe how great the service, Christa was the best and Madam Becky was beyond kind and hospitality. If you come you will not be disappointed. This will be my go to from now on

Funke explained the menu properly and the food was delicious. It was my first time having edikanikong and I loved it.

I ordered take out and I was notified that it was ready very quickly and once I went to pick up it was brought out immediately.

This was my first time ever trying any African cuisine outside of Ethiopian and it was definitely a new experience but overall good! I ordered the Egusi w/ Assorted meat (which ended up just being beef) & Fufu, as well as an order of fried plantains and an order of puff puffs. The Egusi meal was fantastic as was everything else.

My only small complaint is that I wish they gave a bit more meat in the Egusi especially for the $30 price. Otherwise fantastic spot! Would recommend!
