I tried this restaurant out with a coworker during the week. The food was good and the service was also good. It is worth a try. My friend enjoyed her breakfast plate. The oxtails were flavorful. The empanadas were authentic.

I stopped in to get something to eat while traffix died down. I ordered the Oxtail with Monfongo. It was delicious! I ate the entire thing. So delicious. If I lived closer (I am from Charlottesville) I would be a regular. Place was clean, staff was sweet and attentive.

I got modo go is to salty, with shrimps they put just 5 shrimp for 25.00 dollar, to expensive . I m not coming back.

I came here to celebrate my birthday and it did just that! All the waitresses were so nice, they made me feel like I was apart from their family. My specific waitress was Mary, she was so sweet and helpful and explained/ answered any questions my table had! Such a great experience, I would recommend to anyone and everyone- and can't wait to come back!

Straight to the point: The mangu was excellent. At the same time, I can't say that I love Mangu that much to pay $40 for a great breakfast with good coffee and over-sweet concentrated passion fruit. At least not in that atmosphere. The restaurant was clean, but it smelled like raid and looked run-down. Bottom line is that if it's a twenty-five dollar meal I'd be hard pressed not to give it five stars. But even in Biden's economy, if you're forking over forty bucks for breakfast, there's a set of expectations that come with it.
Just went there to grab dinner, I was hungry the whole day, but I’m so happy that I chose this place. The fried chicken, non sweet plantains, and yuka were so good, that despite me not living near this place, I know that I’ll come back. Also, everyone working there was so nice, it just made my day. Thank you for everything!

I have been here many times, however today our experience was different . The picadera was mostly made of chicken. Tasty and crispy. However, our server was rude. Never said hi, what would you like.... we had to start ordering while she just stood there.... muted... she barely spoke. Slammed the drinks and food plates on the tabke as she brought them. I barely give a bad review.... but this is deserved. Sorry for your business, as this lady might scare customers.

Had Pollo Guisado but with a darker rice that seemed flavored with the black beans that were in it ( for reference it looked along the lines of a Jamaican style peas and rice ) . The consume or soup the stewed chicken came in was so good I took some home to put on something else. I wished they had a thicker tortilla or some kind of bread to go with this so I could pick the chicken out make it into a taco with maybe pickled carrots, pickled onions and pickled ginger added. A monkey bread would have went perfect with this!
Parking: A lot of spots. All a shred with other businesses on the block. $1 for an hour, you can get less time with coins…… 15 minutes for a quarter etc something like that.
