We love La Fonda Paisa. We have been going for many years. They have great Colombian breakfast. Arepas are simple but delicious. The ajiaco is a must for when is rainy or cold. The empanadas are super delicious and great for parties. We have ordered many times empanadas for events and everybody always ask us where they are from. The only room for improvent would be to give aji for the empanadas. They are always super stingy with the aji (empanadas sauce).

Good flavor and tropical music ambient. The Grocery store next to the restaurant offers colombian products.

The food here is from Latin America, Colombia, is delicious, here the staff speak Spanish and English and the atmosphere is very colorful

A friend recommended me, he said the chicharrones were great. My first time in a Colombian restaurant. First of all is not a restaurant, is a store that serves hot food, desserts but mostly they sell products from Colombia like, coffee, beans , cookies, clothes, flags, etc which you can buy from any Latino,Hispanic or international grocery store. Is a small place, with a couple of seats and tables. The waiting time was more than 30 minutes but we were pleasantly patient. When our food arrived we were a little disappointed with the chicharrones and the fry fish, both were dry and tasteless. The beans, rice, tostones, salad and sausages taste good. The ladies serving the food were very nice. Finding a parking spot was challenging. Georgia avenue is a busy street, parallel parking is not my strong, I’m glad my friend was driving. We don’t think we are coming back to La Fonda Paisa, we will have to keep on looking for a better Colombian restaurant.

I sent a box a month ago, according to the shipment it arrived in a week, then 15 days it takes two months and nothing, I call and they only tell me pure lies, they are delivering what was sent every week and they never finish the delivery, I don't understand if Was it a scam or what? Because they can't even give an accurate answer and I made the payment for secure air shipping and they charged everything for that terrible service and apparently a scam and loss of money

Pretty good. But it can get extremely pricey for some basic items.

Nice restaurant and good service here.
Unlike the other one in Gaithersburg, I was disappointed with the service of 2 cashiers, a Venezuelan and a blonde Colombian, I don't plan to return there and apart from the fact that I got a cockroach in my food.

Good: Food is good (decent) and they sell a lot of Colombian things, both the restaurant part and the shop part. Juices are great. Bad: The restaurant part is so uncomfortable, so tight, a lot of tables bunched up in a tiny tiny area. The alleys of the shop zone are also very narrow. Oh and they have no double door and the tables area is next to the entrance, so all the cold enters everytime someone opens the door. Disappointed.

Kid-friendliness: None.

Wheelchair accessibility: Hard, there is no space for a wheelchair.

If there are people who don't know about Colombia, they are going to have a terrible image of our food. I went to eat a tray paisa and the beans look like those sold in cans, nothing like our food. The only thing that saved lunch was the arepa with cheese, the ajiaco looks like a broth, it doesn't seem like the owners were Colombian. And they didn't let us eat there.

I also want to share my opinion here
And tell them that the 2 women who work at the Gaithersburg diner are horrible employees.
I went this week and they treated me badly, it's a dwarf Venezuelan and a tall one if I'm not bad from Guatemala
That's why I won't go back there
I will only be visiting here even if I am further away
The other girls are good
And there were other very kind workers who were there last year.
They should do something with those 2

The truth is I didn't like him
Place we went to that place today I ordered a soup the cold soups I asked a girl to heat it up anyway part of it was cold I ordered a salchipapa and it was only potato and chorizo why that wasn't a salchipapa why I had to tell the Girl, if they didn't have tomato sauce, why didn't they even give me the truth? I wouldn't go again. It was my first time to eat and not at all, apart from the dirty tables, the dirty place, bad experience and I don't recommend it and I asked the girl to He didn't clean it either, right? Don't spend your money on an ugly place and ugly food.
