Lemon Slice Cafe

A very quiet and cozy little spot tucked just beside the bank. Inside you will find 3 very friendly faces who are patient and kind, and not afraid to make conversation! I was there just to see what they had but left with a slice of lemon cake (how fitting) and plans to come back for lunch! Thank you so much! Will be back soon!

Tofu veggie wrap was Greasy with mushy vegetables this time. I have gotten it many times before. I think a past variation included a serving of healthy guacamole. I wanted to love them and my meal. But, the to-go container was full of oily sauce. It was listed under Healthy options. I hope it improves next time. It was unsatisfying. Not great. :/

I was heading to an appointment but I could smell the spices in the air. This was a major surprise. Quick service and flavorful food, with a fusion of Habesha and American cuisine. Truly a hidden gem in Silver Spring!!

This is one of the hidden gems of Silver Spring.

First, the food is great. It is simple, kind and made with love. It sounds silly, but it comes through. It's also top tier. Recently, I had the kitfo panini, which had a perfect mixture of spice, ground beef and a creamy cheese. Writing that, I am wondering why I didn't get it this morning when I visited.

Second, Ms. Beth is one of the kindest, best human beings on the planet. She is a top tier chef, a mom, a wife and an enthusiastic Silver Spring resident. She is one of those people that makes you want to be a better person.

Third, the staff carry her vibe. You don't leave Lemon Slice in a bad mood.

I visit regularly and am remiss in leaving a review. They deserve my thoughtfulness and your business. I look forward to seeing everyone there tomorrow.

Form the moment I felt the coziness and welcoming atmosphere. The greeting was warm and patient as I perused the menu.

The food is absolutely fresh and very tasty, even simple home fries had a very nice salsa twist on them. Thank you for pleasant experience, I'm even sorry your Cafe is not in my home town.

This place is special. Chef Beth makes fresh, delicious food and is a lovely, gracious host. She was accommodating to our allergies with creative, tasty alternatives. Also check out her YouTube channel: @bethelhemy, where she teaches you how to cook her recipes.

The food, desserts, and drinks at this place are delicious! The owner really knows her stuff. The home fries are the best thing on the menu, especially with the dipping sauce.

When I first walked in, I was greeted with the warmest welcome. The food is reasonably priced, large portions, and good. A little light jazz playing in the background.....Highly recommended!

Beautiful diamond in the rough!!! The veggie omelet was delicious!The ginger, turmeric tea was delicious!!! Everything is made with the freshest ingredients, with the most important one, Love!! Will definitely be back to visit.

Serve all pastries ice cold, and all but the lemon cake weren't fresh. I hate giving a bad review, but even the lemon cake at Starbucks is better than this. Sorry, I definitely would not come back to this cafe.
