Food was great. However, it was difficult to find parking and the interior smelled funny.

Great joint. Food is innovative and subtle, drawing flavor from unexpected places (as opposed to piling on the salt), and the menu has great variety, in terms of proteins, flavors, and array of dishes.
Add a fun, curated wine list, and exceptional service, all at abundantly reasonable prices, and this is one of the best pure meals you’ll get in the area.
L&C is still growing into the space, and it isn’t helped by some shabby, dated surroundings—but so much care has gone into this place, I’m really hopeful they’ll hang on and help revitalize that whole neck of the woods…

I ordered tacos and guacamole with my boyfriend. They were so tasty! Some of the best tacos I’ve had in the area. The guac was a perfect blend of smooth and chunky. I was concerned it wouldn’t be as “fresh” since we ordered carry out, but it was phenomenal. We will be back!

The food is excellent. My torta was perhaps the best I've had in the area and very reasonably priced. My friend who ordered the tagliatelle said it was the best pasta they've had since the last time they were at Little Italy in Baltimore. The corn hummus was tasty but the potato chips were too fragile to easily scoop the hummus.
The menu is small. I have confidence that every menu option is good, but I wish there were a few more choices. Part of this is I just want to see what else the chef thinks up.
Delicious. Plenty of vegan options too. I ordered the mushrooms tacos sans cheese, with the brussel sprouts and mushrooms sides ????

We came here because of the rating and it was packed at Tuesday evening. So our taste and experience must be different from others who gave high rating. The food is too expensive for the experience and the taste. The fine dining price but we don’t get the fine dining experience & ambience. The food came slow and couple food the server came told us the food is not available after waiting to long. We thought because this place is new. The concept is good maybe if the customer do not think of how much they spend. Just hang out with different kind of ambience with existed restaurant in the neighborhood. Good luck with the experience hope it different from we experience. Because we love to support local business.

The reviews don't make any sense. This place needs help.
1) The restaurant smells bad when walking in.
2) None of the food has any flavor. Much of what we ordered was lacking salt.
3) Felt very rushed to get out of there.
The whole experience was odd given how many good reviews there are. Not to mention it was pretty expensive for food that was relatively bland and tasteless.

Al Pastor Taco was delicious! The flavors work so well. The Crispy Fish Taco was a little bland - the fish itself tastes great, but is a little subtle and overpowered by the tortilla. The Tamales and Short Rib were also fantastic. Friendly staff and quick service.

We went there for the first time for dinner today. My friend had read about it in the Post. So, I looked at their site and was drawn to its beautifully photographed dishes and pleasing layout.
The décor was interesting with a wall of woven baskets. The server was friendly. Each table had a woven basket containing utensils and paper napkins. The food was attractively served in vessels shaped to fit the food(an oblong tray for the halved torta) etc. All the elements of success were evident but the most important: FLAVOR.
I had a fish taco and vegetarian torta, both of which were next to taste free, bland. Friend had a glass of wine and chicken tamales, both skimpy in portion size. She said the tamales were good but not large enough to be placed in the "mains" category.
This reminds me of District Bistro in Wheaton. Both have good concepts but fall flat due to poor execution.
Sad and mad, I really wanted to like this place.
