We haven't been here since the pandemic, and it was a wonderful rediscovery of the place. We had the Triple Delight Sushi and the Shrimp and Veggie tempura;they were both very succulent and fresh. The servings were huge, for me at least.Service was excellent, and the service charge was already added to the bill, which is a nice change from having to do the math ?, though we did give additional tip as the service was really good.

Took my wife for a birthday dinner with two toddlers. AMAZING STAFF! This place truly is family friendly. The staff were accommodating and so great with the kids. Brought us desert for my wife and kids and sang happy birthday. Would over recommend this place and always happy to to this gem in downtown SS.

My daughter and I decided to have a lunch date and made our way to one of our favorite places. We went at opening so we didn't get the option to sit at the hibachi table :-( Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the steak hibachi with extra steak at Medium but it was definitely well done, and that was not fun!! Lol Luckily my daughter enjoyed her Shrimp and Chicken hibachi so I guess it was worth the trip.

I have eaten at several Hibachi steakhouses. This one is average. However, the service is excellent. The waiter and hostess were really good. They were very friendly and welcoming. The food, however, was only average. One problem was the wait time between getting the fried rice and the entrée. I also did not like the salad. Otherwise, this is a good experience for a group dinner.

Seriously! I took my daughter for the show, not the food. The hibachi chef was entertaining and the server was on point. The colorful neon lends a Miami Vice vibe. I ordered the filet and sea bass hibachi meal and was surprised how absolutely delicious everything was!

Overall, this is a fine establishment and that's been a mainstay in Silver Spring for a very long time. It can get packed, so be aware that the systems need little finetuning. It's easiest to come with just a couple of people, last night I saw lots of very large groups that were waiting for a while, it's well known. For the Hibachi, the filet mignon is the best way to go IMO. It's tender, tasty, and not over seasoned. The food is good but doesn't blow you away. The chef we had did some tricks and made us all laugh while cooking the food. The portions are massive and most people walk away with a full to go box. We got good service and enjoyed the meal, what else is there? It's pretty loud, so if you have guests that are hard of hearing, this might not be the best environment for them. A recommendation for the bar: I ordered the Scorpion Punch as I normally do, but this time, it was literally every alcohol and no juice. It was so strong that I had to go to the bar and get a cup of juice to add in, which they graciously did for me at no extra charge. You definitely get your money's worth on booze, but I'd be happier if it was more balanced and sweet. It's probably just an off night for the bartender.

Disappointing Experience at Masa I regret to share a thoroughly disappointing experience at Masa. Despite being longtime patrons, recent visits have left my family and me frustrated. On both occasions, we made reservations and arrived promptly, only to be held in the lobby for an extended period, ranging from 30 to 45 minutes beyond our reservation time. This unfortunate delay impacted our dining experience, with some guests starting their meals as the chef was finishing cooking for others. The most disheartening aspect was the apparent discrepancy in treatment. After discussing the matter with the manager, it became evident that certain families, particularly those of a different ethnicity, were afforded a more leisurely dining experience. It's disappointing that despite bringing considerable business to Masa for celebratory occasions, our party felt rushed and mistreated. The contrast between our experience and that of other patrons was stark, leading us to question the fairness of their service. I urge potential diners to explore alternative hibachi restaurants in the DMV area that prioritize an unrushed and enjoyable dining experience. Our recent encounters at Masa have left us with the firm decision to seek alternatives. Best, Michele Campbell
