No one was in there. The waiter was excellent. The drink had to be remade, but the second one was good. The food was okay. They didn't have chicken and waffles ?
The restaurant was clean and had plenty of space for our group to sit and accommodate a wheelchair. In the summer it looks like there is lots of outdoor seating and maybe even a big garage door that goes up for indoor/outdoor seating. It's a lovely looking restaurant. There is a step down, to get to restroom, so that may be a problem for those who are unable to do stairs. I am unsure if there was another way through he restaurant that didn't have a step. The food was okay, but it took forever to get our food. The restaurant wasn't busy and maybe had 4 other tables. It took almost an hour to get our food and we had to ask about it. We also had to get up and find our server to get more drinks and the bill.

Party of 5. Sat at one of the high top tables. Apparently there wasn't a dedicated server for that area so the bartender had to assist us. As you can imagine, when she was busy we received no service and had to flag down a manager 3x to order our food, get water and grab the check. Pizza was good as always. Crab and artichoke dip was more cheese and cream than crab but still fine.

I met up with a friend for happy hour and we chose Matchbox because I'd never been there. WRONG DECISION!!!! The bartender didn't know how to make any fruity mixed drinks. The two she attempted after she googled some were horrible. I finally ordered a corona beer...Smh. The happy hour crab artichoke dip was a small pan of cream cheese and grease. The Old Bay wings were decent...nothing to brag on or recommend and the beef sliders were dry and tasteless. We eventually left Matchbox and walked up the road to Copper Canyon and sat at the bar, had some amazing fruity drinks and great food.If your ever in downtown Silver Spring, I would not suggest Matchbox for anything other than their clean bathroom.

Amazing time ! Took the family there for Valentine's Day and we all loved it. It wasn't too crowded at all. The food was subpar but the pizza was over the top . Most definitely going back for seconds !
No server at all for 15 minutes. We found out that there is none. The bartender is the only one serving the whole place.There was no service at this place, unfortunately.

Food is solid, I haven’t found a subpar item on the menu. Nice outdoor patio, the inside is also kid-friendly and spacious. Service is really spotty especially during brunch. I’ve waited over an hour for a bottle of wine or a cocktail or a brunch entree on more than one occasion. The bar didn’t seem to know what they were doing most of the time.But it’s my 7 year old’s favorite restaurant and we go there for lunch on random weekdays off and the service has been good, just a bit slow.

We've been going there since they opened as my son likes the food and he's a PICKY eater... lolHowever, plan to wait for your food and drinks. It takes forever, so take things to entertain kids.Everyone is nice and friendly, and other than the wait, I have no issues.
