McGinty's Public House

Guinness was excellent. At the time an awful smell came from the first floor. Maybe sewage smell. Service was excellent. Old bay wings had wayyyyy too much old bay. Made the wings super salty and they did not taste fresh.

The food was honestly great, and several of the other servers were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere had potential, and I was planning to stay longer.

Unfortunately, our server had a very aggressive and unfriendly attitude, which really changed the tone of the experience. I even asked if a specific game could be put on, and the response felt dismissive rather than helpful. It made the environment uncomfortable enough that I ended up leaving early, and my party chose to meet somewhere else instead.

I’m sharing this because the food and much of the staff were solid — but one negative interaction can really sour what would otherwise be a great visit.

I had the veggie Cottage pie and it was excellent. My friend had the Irish breakfast which was also excellent. Atmosphere was very Pubish and fun and when we asked for the Caps game on one of the TVs they were accommodating. Service was great and friendly. Took home the Salmon entree for my son and he said it was excellent too.

Prices are reasonable. The bottom was short staffed, but the waitress did her best. You can always ask the bartender if you need something. Food is pretty good. It’s refreshing to have a decent restaurant to go to that’s reasonably priced.

Hosted a birthday party at McGinty’s that included a secluded private room. The service was exceptional. We got to choose from a huge variety of bar bites/appetizers to serve at the party (the food was delicious). I definitely recommend it you’d like to host a small event. Debbie and her husband were very helpful in helping us prepare for the event. We thank McGinty’s for hosting such a wonderful night.

Wings went up a dollar and down a wing. On top of that if you can’t have pepper jack cheese and want to substitute it for regular American you can’t do that either (since when? Wasn’t a problem before) it’s just not worth it anymore to Come here. Go

The food is awful and cold. It took long time for just a fries. Almost 45 min the cild fries. I ordered pasta so pricy and amall portion and cold. In general not a good place to eat but good place to drink.

This is another favorite Restaurant in Silver Spring, Maryland. This place is called McGinty's Public House which is within the Ellsworth Place Plaza. Its early Restaurants as Starbucks Potbelly and more . Across the street from DSW Shoe Store . As you walk in the front 2 doors . They have a host guest services area that greet you on the left they have a huge dining area, And big barista area where they sell all sorts of drinks exotic and sidas and more . They have a concealed kitchen thst make and do the magic to make all your favorite foods of your choices you love most . They are avtraditional English Restaurant with Fantastic Hospitality staff and management people that give you all the comforts of home .they sometimes have live English Entertainment and other live Entertainment Bands to mske the atmosphere comfortable. This is a place to become something much bigger than yourself. Ivebern wanting to come back here to discover my English Roots and Ancestry to come close to my roots . I do have ancestors that came ftom Yorkshire , UK . I'm hoping the management can help me oneday find survivors in Yorkshire of my family there if any at all if they have ties to the UK . I know I hadn't been back since the pandemic, I hope t come there again. They have a Great Menu and foods you'll never forget . They have an upstairs that has a huge room for special occasions and events such as Birthdays, Wedding Receptions, And more . They even have a huge barista up there too . If you all love this place as I do, This place is for you. We hope to see yu all there very soon.

It is your average pub. I ordered sweet potato fries only, but it did not really have a taste. The waiter seemed disconnected, but granted it was a busy night. They had a band playing Jamaican music which was cool.

A great Irish pub in Silver Spring with a wide beer selection that should satisfy just about anyone. The menu sticks to classic pub fare with plenty of traditional Irish dishes. The staff were excellent—attentive, friendly, and kept the beers coming. The Irish stew was outstanding. All around, a solid Irish pub with no complaints.

Very friendly and kind staff. Beautiful atmosphere. Quick service. Amazing food. 10/10.

Great Irish pub. Perfect for pre-gameing the Filmore. Bar staff was friendly as hell and the Stew was exactly what I needed after a day of wandering and beverages.
