The food was great and service was friendly and prompt as we were enjoying The Remedy's live music. Loved the atmosphere and would love to see The Remedy here again - great music and had the whole place dancing!

I’ve sat at the booths and bar seats up and down stairs. Always great service, even when they are busy af. Get curry fries.

We visited for the first time tonight - 10/10. Service and food were great and we were completely delighted with The Remedy. They kept us on our feet the whole night and we’d 100% come back to see them again.

I love it here—Happy Hour/Irish Night deals are unbeatable, atmosphere transports you across the pond, food is amazing, fast service. Can’t wait to come back for trivia, live music, comedy, literally any excuse to visit!

Despite being my favorite Club Sandwich destination, a recent trip left me tongue in cheek. The regular waitress, full of energy and enthusiasm, took our orders. One of us wanted us unable to eat the sandwich with the yoke dripping. A new waitress says, “we could change it for you, if you like.” She takes the plate away and about 15 minutes later and new plate is brought, this time the eggs are well done, with no dripping yoke.

When the check was brought, not only was the replacement charged, but the waitress with green-rim lens insisted to our utter amazement that she had served a second drink, when all she did was remove a glass from our table.

It’s sad to get such treatment in places you have so much hope in, especially when customers are left helpless.

As a Takoma Park/Silver Spring native, this place is a staple! Such a great atmosphere, solid drinks, and best french fries hand down!!

I had a great server and the music was great! Our server, Clint, was very attentive and welcoming and gave us some very delicious recommendations! Perfect for a date or the whole family. Would highly recommend to anyone in the DMV area

Surrounded by mega chains and more fan a few dubious one-off places, McGinty's is reliably a great place to go. It's worth noting that they have nearly everything one night expect from a solid Irish Pub. Depending on what you like, it's important to look at their calendar before you venture out. If you're in the mood for a quiet meal (with or without a pint of something tasty) with a couple of friends, the unprepared looks find themselves there on a raucous night with excellent live music; or the reverse could be true!

Note that they have taken a lot more care with their menu than many other similar pubs. It's entirely possible for an carnivore, a vegan, and a gluten-intolerant person to each have their idea of a GREAT meal together.

Vegetarian options: If you want meatless options that are more than appetizers and salads, head right in! Dinner options (as of this week!) include a better than average black bean burger, an incredible Colcannon from the main menu sections. In addition, there is a vegetarian section offering Eggplant Tomato Gratin and Harissa Cauliflower Steak.

Also of note are several of their appetizers, soups, and salads. But since most places have these, I'll only meantime that their Irish Boxty is simply incredible.

Dietary restrictions: First of all, their menu clearly labels offerings for vegetarian (V), vegan (VG), and gluten-free (GF). You'll need to all specifically about daily specials, soups , etc.

Their Dinner menu options don't have a huge number of vegan and GF options, but what they do have are worth the visit. Examples include the Harissa Cauliflower Steak (VG) and Roast Chicken Breast (GF), and Eggplant Tomato Gratin (VG & GF).

Though nobody wants to be relegated to only the salad section of the menu, I can personally vouch for several of their entree salads as being tasty, though notably lacking in proteins, even as optional add-ons.

Parking: Wayne Avenue Garage, operated by Montgomery County and Silver Spring, is convenient and huge, but payment is required unless you are making a late night of it.

Wheelchair accessibility: Good news and Bad news:

The GOOD:
The Wayne Ave Garage has an exit that grants smooth, level, and covered access to the pedestrian-only Ellsworth Drive, and the same minus the covered part access for the less than a half block trip to their front door.

There may possibly be a way to arrange door to door service for accessibility needs, but I don't know what they might be nor who to ask for specifics.

The BAD:
The doors are manual and pull to enter, the vestibule is tiny and crowded, and half their seating is upstairs with no elevator. There is limited outdoor dining, which can easily be adapted for accessibility needs, but only if you are okay with smoking, both from patrons and by the moderate pedestrian traffic that passes within 5 feet of the outdoor dining area.

We used to live in Ireland, so we have high standards, and this place is grand! Went in late one evening and had the fish and chips which were outstanding. Came back the next morning and enjoyed the Irish breakfast. Good stuff! Both black and white puddings, delicious sausage and bacon. Friendly service and reasonable prices for the area. We will be back.
