This place doesn’t actually exist anymore lmao
This review is mainly about the logistics and service of this company. The food itself is acceptable. Nothing special. Silver Spring just doesn’t have good BBQ options, so don’t get your hopes up. I’m giving one star because Money Muscle BBQ isn’t available at All Set anymore (as of 1/19/25) AND YET neither of their websites have been updated. What kind of business operation is that? A business that likes to be inconsistent and waste customers time. So unprofessional.

This review is for the new Money Muscle BBQ that is part of the Fryers Roadside on New Hampshire Avenue.
Horrible. We live down the road and this was the third time we tried this place. Both previous times were ridiculously bad but we gave it another go since it looked like they added Money Muscle BBQ and Pizza to the menu. The online menu for Money Muscle looked decent so we decided to try the BBQ this time. When we asked the cashier if the baby back ribs were good her response was "I don't know...I don't eat pork". Pro tip...hire someone who knows your product. We ordered the brisket instead and it was bone dry and way overcooked. I ordered the chicken and specifically asked for BBQ chicken. They brought me out a piece of fried chicken with a side of BBQ sauce. I mean....what the hell? The fried chicken was also dry and it was apparent it had been sitting there for a while. The sides sucked. The coleslaw is vinegar based and dry with no flavor. The beans were honestly the worst tasting BBQ beans I've ever eaten. Just avoid this place. Terrible food--terrible service. Also, there were shady people hanging out at the CBD convenience store smoking pot in public which just added another layer of terrible to the whole ordeal since we had our young child with us.

Tried the food truck.
Got a 1/3 rack of rib for 15$. That's 3 ribs. The ribs are definitely not worth 5$ a rib.
Will not try again
The pulled pork sliders are great, but the wings are my favorite. I took home the dry rub wings and they were even better the next day.

We had a take out order and picked it up at All Set. The brisket was delicious and so were the sides of coleslaw and mac and cheese. Also a side of pulled pork.
We were so hungry and forgot to take pictures ?

New customer Delivery! The brisket sandwich was tasty but the amount given was about 1/4 cup. So Overpriced ($17). There was no BBQ sauce on the sandwich and the bun was soggy. The sweet potato fries wedges tasted old as if they'd been under a heat lamp all day. The Bread pudding was meh...in taste. The portion was tiny for the amount of money you pay ($13). The Sriracha cheddar biscuits were ok but they weren't fresh either. Lastly please label your sauces! I poured chocolate on the brisket bun thinking it was BBQ sauce since there was no sauce on the brisket sandwich! Go to Mission BBQ for your $ worth.

Texas style brisket with NC sauce and Sriracha cheddar biscuit was delicious. As an online order/delivery, the sauce container was too small, I could have used double the sauce.

It's a bit confusing to find, as Money Muscle is part of All Set restaurant, in that you sit down at All Set and can order off of both menus. The dishes are ok and overpriced.

My first experience was for catering. We ordered 3 meats (ribs, brisket, and pulled pork) enough for 30 ppl each. It was very expensive. Disclaimer: I'm not a big BBQ eater, so I could very well be out of touch with pricing for good BBQ. We didn't get serving utensils and for the price of the food, we should have. The food quality:
Ribs- 3 full racks were not fully sliced, so it didn't look like enough. In the end, they were all gone, so I believe everyone enjoyed it.
Brisket- Very good and good amount for the cost.
Pulled pork- Also very good and worth value.
Overall, the food was delicious. I will go back and try other items on the menu.
Note: Pick up is at All Set restaurant. The Money Muscle BQ is a food truck on the side of the restaurant. We'll go back to experience more items on the food truck.

NOT AN ACTUALL BBQ JOINT. Came here on the assumption it was an actual bbq place and - no it is not. Barbeque is supposed to be messy and greasy. This place had the appeal of a fine dining establishment which don't get me wrong, is fine. The prices were above average and you you don't feel like you get what your pay for -they have a seperate menu that was uninspired and had the bare minimum of what is considered bbq. They NEED their own place and a larger menu, the closest other place is Federalist Pig in DC and that is over 20 minutes away. They could be making a killing.

Pretty disappointed with the food. The ribs were fatty St. Louis cut, overcooked to the point of falling apart (though not dry). My son didn't like the pulled pork either. Cornbread was okay as was the cole slaw, but I'm not likely to order from them again.

I can’t even rate anything else about this place because of the absolutely disgusting customer service ai just received. Not sure what I did but I stood at the front waiting to be seated for over 10mins and multiple waiters just walked by me as though I didn’t exist without a word. No “hi, hello, we’ll be right with you, nothing.” Literally like I wasn’t there. Disappointing. But now the ratings make sense. Cute place tho

They took over a location on New Hampshire Ave. in White Oak. The ribs is tough and no flavor, I had to re-cook them to make them better and added barbecue sauce, no seasoning on the ribs.. The chicken is so so, there pulled pork had no flavor, their sides is OK, there greens was good, mac and cheese sucked, no taste or flavor will need much improvement in the barbecuing and plus they’re over priced. Give them 6months to closed down if they don’t improve.
