We had a wonderful evening. The food was excellent including Filet Mignon, Lobster, and an amazingly tender Octopus. The wine chosen, Esporao, was delicious and accompanied the food well. Manuel, the owner, shows wonderful pride in his food creations, and was a warm and friendly host.
Charming restaurant, with great food and service. The chef is lovely!
Wonderful food, especially the orange roughy and the salmon. We had a lovely business casual dinner and were all delighted with the atmosphere. Twilight Dinner prices were excellent, quantity of food was very good. Only disappointment: chocolate cake was really dry. I do highly recommend the restaurant!
Food was good but we were disappointed that there weren't more Portuguese dishes. Natas were very good.
The place is a bit dated. It felt like a retirement home. My wife had stomach issues after eating the seafood. My daughter asked if we could never go back again. My food was mediocre at best. Unfortunately we relied on the ratings. I don't think our experience was a one off.
Impeccable service and the food was excellent - overall great place to enjoy a casual dinner at a great price❗
Nova Europa is an exceptional restaurant. The space is well organized, clean and quiet. The food is remarkable and the service style makes you feel very welcome and well cared for.
We visited Nova Europa on a Sunday evening with another couple. We were greeted by the former chef, who now welcomes guests as they arrive. There was a large variety of Portuguese/Italian dishes, everyone's food was very good. Prices were reasonable with evening and twilight 3 course specials. Quiet restaurant with no special ambience however, we could easily enjoy conversation which is very difficult in many restaurants today. We will dine there again.
Warm cozy atmosphere and an awesome filet dinner.
We had a mother's day reservation for Nova Europa around 5:30.
The place was pretty full, and maybe they weren't used to it, because service was a mess. We were there from 5:30 to 8:30 and most of that was sitting and chatting while waiting for them to bring out food. I think it took an hour for dinner to come out. We had a terrible time trying to grab the waiter when he forgot a plate.
The menu was almost entirely seafood and veal, even the appetizers. As someone who doesn't eat seafood, that made my options pretty slim! But you go where mom picks on Mother's Day! I ended up getting the steak with pepper sauce and it was just out. Of. This. WORLD. Good. All of the food was really phenomenal honestly, even the rolls blew me away with how soft and fresh they were.
Atmosphere was VERY dated in my mind, but a lot of people think that all the dark wood is elegant! It was tired but clean and maintained. It was really classic rolls-salad-dinner service though.
I'll say the bathrooms were absolutely not accessible, they were a tight squeeze for me, and I'm pretty average sized.
It was expensive, but I think the food was worth it! Overall though I probably won't go back on my own, the menu was just too limiting for me. If you like upscale seafood though, this place will be your jam! Okay, they didn't actually have jam. This place will be your.... Swordfish?

This restaurant claims to be Portuguese so I took my Portuguese in-laws and how disappointing it was to have no one in the restaurant speak Portuguese and when they brought us food that was not edible no apologies this is a shame and a digrace please dont waste your time food was horrendous
Perfect restaurant to have a good portuguese food experience. Service was attentive and efficient.
Met friends for dinner, was a great time. Service was outstanding. Would not recommend fruto do mare—too much watery sauce and seafood had one flavor (salt). Red sauce pasta dishes are a win here—ravioli or manicotti. Skip the French onion soup, used to be a favorite but the broth lacked depth of flavor. The bread (gratis—increasingly rare today) was warm and had a nice balance of crustiness and chew. Ambiance is old world Europe, very cozy. Nice to have places like this still around where you can hear your dining companions and the owner takes time to talk with patrons.
Who would have guessed, fine dining hidden away in Nova Europa! From the menu through the service and dessert, excellence! Bonus if you speak Portuguese! You won't be disappointed, don't let the simple exterior detract, once you enter you know you're in a special place!
Amazing Birthday celebration. It was a blast from the past with great food fun craft cocktails and some of the best service in years. Highly recommend!
