Went here to grab a couple of Tortas. It was an interesting experience. The place was dead. The shelves on the right were wooden and would have made Old Mother Hubbard look twice for how bare they were. The cashier was on her phone at prep table, about 20 feet from the front counter. We stood around waiting for her to come to the front for about two minutes before I politely called out to her.The cashier looked at us like we were somewhere we didn't belong. I asked about the Tortas and she brought out the menu, then asked me in Spanish if I wanted the Tortas Mexicanas. In Spanish I answered, yes, then proceeded to ask if they only come in beef or if chicken is an option. She didn't respond and there was an awkward pause.Knowing our area has many multi-lingual people, and I could have misheard her initially, I then asked if she needed me to speak English in English, Spanish in Spanish, Portuguese in Portuguese, French in French... And she quickly came back and interrupted saying Spanish is good.We ordered two Tortas with no mayonnaise. We received them. The flavor was intense and delicious, albeit a bit salty. The bun was perfect, just how I remember them being back in Arizona. The only complaint we could make is the meat was as tough as jerky, but a pair of kitchen shears fixed that problem. Otherwise, the food was a bit pricey at $11 a pop. That said, don't go here if you can't speak Spanish - and I don't mean the Castilian you learned in High School. And be prepared for an interesting experience.

I went to the shopping center that Pan Lourdes is located. I parked in an UNMARKED parking spot and went to the store located next door. (10-15 minutes at most)When I came back out I came to find a green pick up truck blocking my car from being able to get out.I went into the bakery and asked if the car belonged to anyone, the customer standing there said it wasn't his but no one else said anything.I came back out and went to check the next two stores, a male came out from one of them and told me:"The green truck belongs to the owner of the bakery, she left her car there to send you a message"I went back into the bakery -- asked her if it was hers, she said yes it's hers that she'll move it when she's done cooking. That I parked in her parking spot (again, UNMARKED). She's talking to me with the nastiest attitude when all im trying to do is leave to continue running my errands. There was also a FREE parking spot right next to mine if she wanted to keep her parking spots. She could've been professional and parked her car in the empty one and then when she saw that I moved just simply cover her spot. Now keep in mind, I've bought from her once before and the bread that I bought was alright. Nothing special but after this encounter with her I definitely do not recommend buying anything from someone who is so unprofessional.Last picture is her arguing with someone else about her parking spot.

One of my favorite places to eat Salvadorian style breakfast, like-a-home made pupusas, delicious sweet bread and tasty coffee. Small place, pero todo rico

SUCH AFFORDABLE PASTRIES!! I got a huge slice of cake and a concha roll for only $4. There were so many good options to choose from. Both the cake and the concha I got were delicious! I cant wait to try more next time I am in the area.

Petite sized little bakery in Wheaton Triangle. This is one of the small little shops on the perimeter of the brand new large office building that goes up where the large parking lot used to be. There's a handful of tables when you walk in, more seating then you'd probably think for a bakery of this size. The walls are lined with refrigerators and pastry cases. Some of the selection is self-service and then some sit in glass boxes that are more attuned to Jewelry cases. I went up to the front and saw a number of hand scrawled signed taped on the front refrigerators. The prices are insanely low. Tamales for $1.50 a piece are definitely worth your attention. The chicken sandwich that I tried for $3.00 was oddly out of this world. When it was set down on the table in front of me... I was like... "OK... this looks pretty basic." But then I tried it... and I was like... what the HELLO has been done to this chicken. As I commented to a friend: " I have no idea what they did to that chicken, but I'm pretty sure it involves wizards or MSG." It was freakin' good! I also ended up getting the Budin (I think this was $1.75) which is like this super soft raisin pudding cake thing with caramelized sugar on top. Man... that was good. The ONE thing I got and didn't love was the "pan con frijoles, queso, crema." There is a possibility that this is true cause I didn't eat it while it was hot. There is also a possibility that this is true cause the cashier/cook forgot the cheese and then gave it to me on a little plate later, and it didn't melt into anything. But for me it just was too gloopy... if you know what I mean. The bread it was served on was good... but the texture and saltiness was a little much. Overall, I will totally be back. Value for quality was fantastic. Also... just FYI. It would be VERY helpful to know a bit of Spanish when you do go. There was definitely a bit of a communication barrier with English.
