Parkway Deli & Restaurant is amazing! The sandwiches are huge, packed with flavor, and always fresh. Everything from the sides to the desserts is tasty, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It’s a casual spot, but the food is top-notch — a must-visit for anyone who loves a great deli experience.

Great place to eat on National Sandwich Day! Fantastic pastrami Reuben. Tasty pickle bar. Large beer selection.

While visiting family in Silver Spring, we ate here the first night, liked it so much we came back nearly every night we were there. Tried something different each time and were never disappointed. Turkey dinner and Ribeye steak were my favorites, but the breakfast fare is also great! Dine in and enjoy the company of your neighbors.

Terrible service! And the food was not hot enough! And not that great! And not cheap! Been going here for decades for breakfast and lunch - place is obviously not the same at dinnertime. Not a fun or relaxing experience at all. I would return for takeout, but I’m never dining in again unless it’s in the morning with the experience servers. We had a terrible experience sitting at a table couldn’t even get salt and pepper or mustard. Then somebody gave us a condiment caddy. The waiter came and knocked it over and took it away so I ended up having to go to the Manager. I was only going to ask for salt and mustard, but I saw an empty booth and he reset us. He didn’t give us any credit for the terrible dining experience though so I won’t be returning. There are other places that you can get good food for the same price and not have the hassle.

My friend and I had lunch here after a long hike. It was bustling inside! The woman next to us recommended the matzo ball soup, so we both ordered that. DELICIOUS. I ordered a pastrami reuben and my friend ordered a turkey reuben. The pastrami was incredible. I took some stars off because our waitress forgot some of the things that we asked for and was gone for about 20 minutes when we wanted to pay the bill. Otherwise, our food was delicious. I will be going back!

A local landmark I’ve always gone to as a kid. I love this place so much and the service has always lived up to its reputation.

The Best! Deli food in a traditional deli atmosphere. We especially like eating outdoors on their porch. Come for generous tasty portions

I decided to take my parents to Parkside Deli because it had a high rating. Just finding parking was difficult, not an easy parking lot to maneuver or find spaces. Once inside the place felt cramped and crowded. The food was typical deli sandwiches. It was good but not spectacular considering the cost. Probably won’t return.

This is the local kosher style Jewish deli favorite in town. They have well known Matzo ball soup. Jewish favorites, and other foodies. I want to try the hot and spicy Reuben with corned beef and fries. They have a section with desserts, bread, and things like chopped liver and white fish salad. I suggest you try this place. They usually have a pickle bar available, too. I suggest you try Parkway Deli and see how you like it.

I've been going to the Parkway Deli for over 30 years
Over the last 10 to 12 years, I've not gone as regularly, but I have noticed a serious decrease in the quality of their food
Tonight for example we ordered out and a sandwich I used to get that was delicious. The roast beef was dry. There was not enough coleslaw and it was very mediocre

I specifically asked for extra broth with my matzo ball soup and I did not get it

The breakfast is probably the best meal there, but the other food the quality has gone downhill I'm sad to say

The people there are nice. No complaints about the staff at all and I still love the pickle bar

One of our favorite places whenever we visit DC (even though they don't have egg bagels)

I have been going to Parkway Deli for years. I used to love it, but, as several people have noted in recent reviews, the quality has been going downhill. Tonight I ordered one of the dinner specials, pierogies, which were supposed to come with sour cream, and a side of matzoh ball soup. The soup was great. The pierogies were literally the worst I've ever had in my life. They were cold, looked like they had been deep fried, and I could not cut them so I finally gave up and just picked them up and ate them by hand like fries. They also forgot the sour cream so I ate dry pierogies. I'm giving them three stars for the soup which is great, but those pierogies should never have been served. They were barely edible. This is the second time they have forgotten something in my delivery order. I got a special for take out a couple of months ago and they forgot the mashed potatoes that came with it, so I just had slabs of meat and gravy and had to drive back over for the potatoes. Sadly, I will not order from them again.

I got seated pretty quickly. I guess they got spooked by my sunflower lanyard and the autistic identity pin. Autism is not contagious -- just saying. Nobody ever came to the table to take my order. I sat at that table a long time. It eventually occurred to me that I wasn't going to be served, so I left. It kinda sucks to get treated like this.

For me, it’s the ultimate in traditional Jewish cuisine. From the amazing matzah ball soup to the pastrami on rye and ,to finish , to the coffee and rugalah it’s a trip down memory lane to my childhood in Brooklyn. Culinary heaven for me
