This is my favorite restaurant to visit when I'm in the DC area! Not only is the food amazing, but the service is next level. You can tell by how authentic the food is that it's a run by people with great care and appreciation for Vietnamese food. There's something special about a family run restaurant, and this one is as good as it gets. I would recommend the Pho (duh!) and also the chicken wings which are sticky, sweet, and crispy!

The pho is okay, nothing special. The service was not good—an older man was rude and did not speak politely to me as a customer.
They charged extra for a bag and to-go box without informing me beforehand. Also, the prices charged were different from what was listed on the menu. Overall, not a great experience.

I like this neighborhood favorite of mine. I like Vietnamese. The service is good. The place is fascinating. It has really tasty Vietnamese goodies. I like the Banh Mi lately. I got the fried fish cake Banh Mi and it was very good. I liked the meatball Pho I had it not so long ago, also. In fact, I had it the other day. It was wonderful. I've had a number of dishes from them that are really yummy. I like the grilled pork and vermicelli noodles. I liked it very much. I suggest you go to Pho Tan Vinh. The inside is lacquered black and has Vietnamese instruments on the wall. It has black and white photos. Also, traditional Vietnamese lanterns in the window that are beautiful. The Vietnamese have great artistic qualities. I recently went there. It was on Christmas Eve 2025. I had a Pho Bo Vien or Pho, which is a Vietnamese soup, with beef meatballs and noodles. It was excellent. I added hot pepper plus the plum sauce or hoisin. I added Jalapenos, lime, and bean sprouts. The waiters or servers, who are always really nice, brought me bean sprouts, limes, and jalapenos ( basil too) on a plate. I put them in the soup. I put it all in. Yum. My Pho had lots of noodles.The beef meatballs were great. There were many meatballs, but they were not too big. I got a nice fresh ice water too. It was all really delicious. I got a small bowl of Pho, but it was a good size. The large bowl is good if you're really hungry. It is big and only one dollar more. I also added hot pepper with garlic to my Pho or soup. I added hoisin or plum sauce, which is sweet. It was in a video on the Website suggesting to add the hot garlic sauce with this Pho bowl, in particular. Indeed, I added hot pepper and garlic sauce. I added that specifically, as directed. It was yummy. I suggest you try it, too. It was akin to a hot and sour taste, but contrasted with the sweetness of the plum sauce. Hoisin. Also, the lime and hot peppers. It was very good. The smallest size Pho bowl is still a good portion I thought. I was full. I was full when I got home. I also saw rolls or spring rolls in the restaurant and they looked delicious. I suggest you go to Pho Tan Vinh and try it yourself and write your review on it. I want to try the caramel fish next, but we will see. Bon appetit.

Ordered large pho Tai because weather was cold/windy and very hungry. Disappointing we got table near the door, bringing in cold air every time it opened. She moved us per our request. Compared to other pho places, amount of meat was lacking, felt like order was not large

Vincent provides incredible service every time we come here. Got banh mi and a beer today but I usually get pho. It’s always delicious and reasonably priced. Impeccable service.
The atmosphere was very nice and the food was delicious. The service was great. We enjoyed our meals. The restaurant was very clean when we visited. I would definitely eat there again.

The pho here is one of the best in the area but even more, I love that the folks who work here are always so kind, fast and caring. They're excited to great you, fast when you need something, and very attentive while always giving you space. I always bring my neice here and they give her training chopsticks, but we always give them to my mom!
