Great local brewery with a solid rotation of mostly European styles as well as IPAs and nice array of food options.
Beer selection tops. If you like a British bitter the cask conditioned ale is outstanding

Just wish that for pre paid 20% tips, my glass wasn't covered in beer... and for the soda to be in glass... won't be going back.

This place has usually been great. I had a group gathering with a lot of friends. We exchanged gifts (some bottles of wine). We had two different staff come around and say we couldn't drink the wine here even though we had no intention to. The comments and the attitude from the staff were unnecessary considering we were ordering drinks and wine from them and it was clearly a gift giving celebration. We will not be going back.

FANTASTIC service, FABULOUS atmosphere, DELISH beer!
We both got the Duke of Warrington (x2 and to go 🍻), I got the Amber Castle (they were out of the Fletcher's Finest that I wanted to try), and he got the Lost in the Fog.
I didn't realize they didn't have parking on site, but there's a public garage that's right next door. (The visitor parking area in that garage has an elevator that brings you right to a courtyard that's right in front of the Biergarten's outdoor seating area.)
It's a bit of a drive for me to get to / from here, but it was totally worth it and I'll definitely be back! While I didn't take the Metro, I did notice there's a station that appears to be within walking distance from here (though I didn't look to see what line).

My work held a conference in Silver Spring and needed a place to have an evening happy hour event. This was just the spot! We were able to easily reserve the back room, and the staff were very responsive when we had questions. During the event, everyone was able to get food along with beverages, and service was pretty fast considering the whole place was packed. It also just so happened that the event corresponded with their regular trivia time, so some of our group joined in and had a blast! People were talking about it for the rest of the conference. Great beer, food, and service!

We held a private family event here in the back room (including kids) on a Saturday night, and everything from the arrangements to the day-of service were great! The food was delicious - we had appetizers and a taco bar, got drink tokens that I as the host were able to give out, and the bartender for the back room and manager on duty were both so friendly and helpful. The manager even helped me pack up the leftovers so I could bring them home, including providing take out containers and bags. I would 100% recommend for a private event.

Ours was a midday office gathering. The food was good. A good variety of drinks, both alcoholic & non-alcoholic. The waitress was great. The service was just a tad slow. I heard this place has a small kitchen. The place wasn't full and it got a little loud. Overall the location is great with a good vibe and nice decor. It's a place for a good time as long as you're not expecting a quiet tête-à-tête.
Parking: Lots of public parking. Park in the garage on Cameron St. Use the ParkMobile app so that you can easily add time if you decide to start longer.

Here during Oktoberfest weekend and music is bizarre. Listening to some kind of mariachi music. Definitely not a German vibe other than the brats and pretzels they are serving. Beer is good which is why the 4 star. Didn't eat due to limited menu this wknd. Something dripped from ceiling and landed directly in husband's beer. 🙄 Two beers = $17.50

Drinks and food were decent. My problem came 10 days later when they tried to charge me an additional 20% off my bill. I tipped our waitress in cash, I never authorized a tip off of my card. The charge only dropped when I called to complain. So be aware and check your statements if you eat here smh
