This place is a local brewery in a sort of pseudo-German beer hall setting, that also has outside tables for nice days. QR codes are at the tables for ordering, and the food is your standard brewery fare (salads, wings, sandwiches, etc). The wings were pretty good, and both my partner and I ordered chicken Caesar salads which were fine, nothing great, but good enough. The QR code ordering method works well for ordering in terms of efficiency, but when they omitted anchovies from our salads I had to go hunt a staff member down to correct it. Other than that though it’s a good place to go for some bar food or meet with friends after work etc. We will probably be back,
Weak bartenders who don’t offer alternatives after I said I left my ID. The owner’s wife then messaged me privately for this review. Unprofessional. I was also underpaid here as with many other workers. Management front of house was Sophie Sweeney who has since left.
Fantastic brewery! Amazing location, friendly folks, delicious cocktails, expanded menu with tasty offerings and dog friendly.
Excellent beer. Especially love the Cloud Nine. Food is delicious. Ordering system makes everything easy and fast. Service has never disappointed me. TVs allow for some sports watching but doesn't distract from atmosphere.
Fine, suburban brewery. Feels like with the name and beer selection, the food menu should have been full of schnitzel and sausage, but the pretzel is about the only German food menu item. Otherwise, it's pretty standard pub food: burgers, sammies, tacos, salads, etc. The beer cheese with the pretzel is made in-house and delightfully flavorful. Mustard good, too. The steak sandwich with coleslaw side was fine. Tried a couple of darker beers. Mondo Mundo dark Vienna Lager was pretty good. The Branchinator doppelbock was slightly better. Their sticker game was lame and weak. All they had were beer can labels, and they charged a buck a pop for them!
Cask ales! I'm in heaven! The veggie tacos were also delicious. The biergarten was very pleasant and welcoming.
Hosted an event at Silver Branch recently and it was excellent. The space is great for group events. The staff were incredibly helpful, timely, and unobtrusive in their service. And the food was perfect for a group with a variety of dietary needs. I highly recommend Silver Branch for an event or just a night out!
Great local brewery with a solid rotation of mostly European styles as well as IPAs and nice array of food options.
Beer selection tops. If you like a British bitter the cask conditioned ale is outstanding

Just wish that for pre paid 20% tips, my glass wasn't covered in beer... and for the soda to be in glass... won't be going back.

This place has usually been great. I had a group gathering with a lot of friends. We exchanged gifts (some bottles of wine). We had two different staff come around and say we couldn't drink the wine here even though we had no intention to. The comments and the attitude from the staff were unnecessary considering we were ordering drinks and wine from them and it was clearly a gift giving celebration. We will not be going back.

FANTASTIC service, FABULOUS atmosphere, DELISH beer!
We both got the Duke of Warrington (x2 and to go 🍻), I got the Amber Castle (they were out of the Fletcher's Finest that I wanted to try), and he got the Lost in the Fog.
I didn't realize they didn't have parking on site, but there's a public garage that's right next door. (The visitor parking area in that garage has an elevator that brings you right to a courtyard that's right in front of the Biergarten's outdoor seating area.)
It's a bit of a drive for me to get to / from here, but it was totally worth it and I'll definitely be back! While I didn't take the Metro, I did notice there's a station that appears to be within walking distance from here (though I didn't look to see what line).

My work held a conference in Silver Spring and needed a place to have an evening happy hour event. This was just the spot! We were able to easily reserve the back room, and the staff were very responsive when we had questions. During the event, everyone was able to get food along with beverages, and service was pretty fast considering the whole place was packed. It also just so happened that the event corresponded with their regular trivia time, so some of our group joined in and had a blast! People were talking about it for the rest of the conference. Great beer, food, and service!

We held a private family event here in the back room (including kids) on a Saturday night, and everything from the arrangements to the day-of service were great! The food was delicious - we had appetizers and a taco bar, got drink tokens that I as the host were able to give out, and the bartender for the back room and manager on duty were both so friendly and helpful. The manager even helped me pack up the leftovers so I could bring them home, including providing take out containers and bags. I would 100% recommend for a private event.
