Service is hit or miss. Food is decent, price for portion is good.

Kid-friendliness: Some staff seems to enjoy kids and will talk with them.

The place is good and the food is very delicious. I visit the place very frequently. The only bad thing is that the waitresses forcefully want the tip and it is $20 or more when the tip is whatever you want to leave.

We ordered a dish and it was STALE and SOUR. They wanted us to PAY for it. We had to argue with the waitress and chef. We will not be coming back.

Great Dim Sum. Very Good. If you want to take out, you should make the order via phone before 40mins.

The place was packed! We had a table for 9 and sat 11, as two were lap babies.
We ordered about 11 dishes and all were fantastic. I had the baby in my lap so couldn't take photos of everything.
But recommend the crab, anything with shrimp in it and the pork bun. Will be back.

We know that authentic dim sum restaurants are not known for good service. In fact its well known that the ruder the service, the better the food among dim sum circles. However there is a tipping point in this theory, and we finally reached it today. We patiently waited for over 30 minutes at our table with no food carts in sight, no water, no tea, nothing except garbage carts flying by. We just sat there and considered getting up and leaving on 16 June Father's Day 2024. We had to get up and ask for water at least 5 times, from one of the servers who always succeededin failing to bring us water, tea, or even call a food cart lady over. When I brought the issue to the attention of management, The Boss Lady in the green shirt was completely unapologetic with her "sorry(not sorry)". We highly suspect that they ran out of food.
The dim sum was mushy, not the best but tolerable. Char siu bao meat wasnt great quality, while the bun was good, it was soggy from being oversteamed. The Shrimp Har Gau was decent, but wasn't enjoyable because we had no water to drink with it. The Pork Hash wasn't bad, but oversalted and other places do it better. The Jin dui was almost pure mochi and had little, if any bean paste. They were also the smallest Jin Dui I've yet seen without being micro Jin Dui.
We won't be coming back given other choices in the area. The below pic of a plate and no water was my view for 30 minutes while we just sat there. However, when it came time for them to collect their money, they were quick to do that.
Kid-friendliness: It's a madhouse, kids fit right in.
Wheelchair accessibility: First level access.

This use to be a wonderful restaurant. Would come from Annapolis for dim sum. With new owners, it’s terrible. Staff and hostesses are exceptionally rude. Can’t get them to bring rice and I’ve resorted to refilling my own water glasses. Dim sum options had no variety and were freezing cold. Service is so slow! Redeeming aspect is if you order entrees from menu, food quality is delicious and authentic. Restaurant is empty and service is still terrible. And when you don’t want to tip b/c they don’t deserve it, they are so outspoken and rude, when otherwise, you have to search for them to give you service. STAY AWAY FROM HERE! You’ll just be frustrated, disappointed and have wasted your money! Go to Hunan Delight in Olney. Very clean and updated restaurant, welcoming and attentive service, generous and delicious portions!!! Such a shame, previous owners who owned Silver Palace in White Oak would be so sad to see Silver Fountain so declined!!!! This restaurant use to be packed, now I know exactly why it’s empty!

I had the mixed vegetables. They were overcooked, too mushy. Must have a different chef than last time. Will not be be going there again. Waste of my money.
Had dim sum. Good food. Fast and great service. Big table was a bit too wobbly though.
