I have been looking for a local wing spot that so I can stop going to wing stop and Lordy Lordy! This place is finger licking good! Smothered in sauce and still keeps the crunch! Love love love! Will be coming back

I will definitely be back. Stopped by because of an IG review. Appreciate that you can order wings “well done” and “very well done”, as well as vary how much sauce you want. Wings were good sized, and seasoned and cooked well. The sauces varied. The spicy teriyaki was outstanding (crispy wing too) the Parmesan peppercorn was decent (not as crispy). Didn’t see lemon pepper on the menu and would have ordered that instead. The hot jet lag sauce wasn’t hot or too tasty. It tasted like regular buffalo (not crispy at all). Interestingly, the wings crispier wings. Fries could have been crispier but I had a 20-minute drive home before eating them. Seasoned well.

Stop looking. You won't find better wings anywhere else. Period! This is a family business and the food is like home cooking: fresh, hot and tasty. Evan is responsive and friendly. He helps you make decisions about taste selections and amounts and he's never steered me wrong. I've tried lots of wing places, including the usual chains, but I'll keep coming back because there are none better. None!

Saturday 11/11/2023 I made an online order of 8 ct bbq wings with potato wedges and ranch for 14$. When I came to get my food I had to get different flavors for the wings since they didn't have any bbq which was disappointing. After sampling a few sauces/flavors, I ended up getting half mumbo and half golden bbq for the wings. Luckily, I got 9 wings instead of 8 which was good to see after not getting my original bbq order. Overall, The wings were solid: The mumbo wings were okay and the golden bbq wings were decent. The ranch with the wings was pretty solid as well. The potato wedges were my favorite: crispy, plentiful, and fully worth it.

Long overdue for a review of this spot. I have some friends who come here quite often... and during the pandemic they were gone for a bit. I'm late to the party, but yo... these might be the best wings in MD. And I would consider this a 'hidden gem'... unless you know it's there it's very easy to miss with the extremely subtle signage from outside. You can go online and order in advance, and even have it delivered to you... but if you do choose to go in person, there's a couple of high seats, but there's no dining in... it's definitely a strictly takeout spot. There are very few items you can get in addition to the wings, like veggie sticks (carrots and celery), potato wedges, sauces on the side, drinks, and a brownie. Hot jet lag (which I don't currently see on the menu) is a delicious spicy sauce for the wings... and you can't go wrong with the sweet Thai chili, mumbo and BBQ. I still need to make my way through the sauces and seasonings, but the wings... oof. If you haven't had them yet and you're in the mood for some wings... do yourself a favor and go. The flavors and quality are up there.

What a wonderful hole in the wall in all the right ways. We've been wanting to try this place for a while at the suggestion of a friend. My wife can't have dairy right now and I went over in person to see what wing sauces didn't have butter, cheese, etc. The new staff member wasn't sure, but they called the owner right away and were very accommodating and helpful. With the kind and thoughtful service, now we were only hoping that the wings would be as good and they didn't disappoint. Of course, if you only make a couple of items, you need to do them well and Silver Spring wings know how to make them. My favorite were the San Antonio wings, but the potato wedges were also pretty awesome. We plan to be back soon for this excellent take-out option.

I have since gave Silver Spring Wings another try because my partner and I enjoyed their creative, unique, and delicious sauces. I believe their first month reopening, they were getting back into the routine and quality as with most restaurants, but now I have to admit they have the best wings in the area! They cook their wings to perfection exactly the way I ask, extra crispy, and San Antonio sauce is a must-have! This is a fully takeout restaurant, so there is no seating, and you may have difficulty locating the restaurant because they have no storefront sign, except in the window, but if you are looking for wings, they are the best. I wish this place luck, you have a lifetime customer in me.

I've had their wings since they were located near DTSS, and I've continued to enjoy their wings when they opened at their Wheaton location. My sister and I have tried every sauce on the menu, and it's a crime that they don't bottle this stuff up. They have perfected their carry out business, consistently making delicious, seasoned, and well-dressed wings. Not only does this place offer great wings at a very fair price point, but the owner comes with a beautiful backstory. If you ever get a chance to stop by, I would suggest you ask him yourself. You have to hear it from him, because the origin of how this place came to be is beautiful. I'm hoping that Wheaton gets to keep this gem.

I order takeout from here all the time but didn't have time to give a full review. I honestly love their wings. This place is not far from me at all and in this area not too many wings places. My ultimate favorite flavor is the Mumbo Wings. It's saucy, well seasoned, and crisped to perfection. Additionally, their potato wedges are great too and always made fresh. Even if I don't eat until 30 mins later, the food is still hot which I love. I definitely prefer this place over America's Best Wings or Wingstop because I like small local businesses and honestly just taste better. Did I mention this place is Black-owned? I don't see much of that in the Wheaton area so PLEASE go and support them! The owner is really nice and personable. Only issue is that sometimes it can be hard to find due to their small sign out front. Also, it's primarily a takeout restaurant (highly recommend you in order advance as its made fresh so may take 25 mins).
