My wife & I decided to stop at Silver Strings on date night after a show we attended in the area, we arrived around 12:15am. Surprisingly it was very vibrant inside. There was a gentleman playing the piano covering 90’s R&B & Pop records with a corresponding projection screen of the original music video of the song he was playing, I thought that was pretty nice. The setting was very warm & relaxing giving a private lounge vibe. Candles were lit on every table and across the bar. Upon being seated our servant was swift with getting us menus water & drinks. I was very happy to know the kitchen was open for business. We ordered light because it was after midnight & we had a few drinks to say the least. Our meal came at a pretty reasonable time considering that people were doing takeout orders and dining in. Our food was hot & delicious. What I like most is the atmosphere, the people different walks of life all enjoying the same thing, music, food, drinks & smiles. In closing I was very happy with my visit at Silver Strings, I stopped in on a humble and found me a new spot. I will be back

Kierra and Kamaryn are awesome! Kamaryn made an awesome aviation. I ordered two and waited for her to get off break before my second one was made. Kierra was an awesome bartender! She was so personable checked on us regularly gave us awesome recommendations even though she’s new! Great ambiance, atmosphere, venue, menu, all that, but without the awesome service that all goes to waste. I’ve lived in this area for YEARS, I have seen tons of places come and go. Safe to say I’ll be coming back to this awesome cozy bar see regularly now that I see the quality of the service, the food, the drinks and the atmosphere it provides.

I had an unforgettable experience at the Tango Reo Milonga at Silver Strings! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of life. The evening began with a dance lesson that was fun and accessible, even for beginners. The instructor was encouraging and made it easy to follow along. After the lesson, the real magic began. The live band, was phenomenal. Their music was soulful, passionate, and absolutely perfect for dancing. You could feel the energy in the room as couples filled the floor, swaying and spinning to the rhythm. Whether you’re a seasoned tango dancer or just looking for something different to do on a Thursday night, this event is a must.

We celebrated my friend’s 24th birthday at Silver Strings Bar in Silver Spring, and it was absolutely amazing! The vibe was perfect, great music, a stylish atmosphere, and just the right energy for a birthday night out. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and the drinks were on point. They made sure we were taken care of the entire night. There was plenty of space to dance, chill, and just enjoy the night with good people. If you’re looking for a cool spot to throw a birthday party or just have a fun night out, I highly recommend Silver Strings. We’ll definitely be back!

If you’re looking for live music, great drinks, and a cool, laid-back crowd, Silver Strings is the place! I went on 2 weeks ago on a Friday night and was blown away by the talent and energy in the room. The live band was amazing!!! The bartenders know how to pour a proper cocktail, and the wings were on point. It has that perfect mix of upscale and relaxed plus you can dress up or keep it casual. It’s a hidden gem in the city that deserves way more attention.

We ordered the seafood pasta and the scallop piccata, and both dishes were bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared. What really made the evening memorable was the service. Came in when there were about 4 or 5 people - all sitting at the bar. Bartender seated us and was then told that the chef could not handle a party of 6 due to the party they were expecting, which had not arrived yet.
Based on previous reviews, there seems to be an ongoing issues with the chef.
