Food is yummy but not always guaranteed to have the full menu available.
This establishment serves the most flavorful Jamaican and African cuisine in the area. Maryland, DC and Virginia hands down the BEST! Portions are plentiful and Susie is an amazing cook and great host. Very much worth the drive. Flavorful Flavor Flavor!! I'll keep coming back!
Good customer service. First time trying cassava leaf and it was amazing. The brow stew chicken and rice were good, too. I also liked the ginger cucumber juice. Will visit again.
OMG the cassava leaf aka Saka saka. 10 out of 10. I will be back! Also the lady up front was so amazing at her job. Kind, fast, considerate. I can’t wait to build a long relationship with this place.
The good here is gross. Do not eat here 🤢🤮
All though I love the food here, I had to order Door Dash from another Jamaican spot because Sweet Sweet Kitchen doesn't have anywhere near their whole menu on Door Dash... $50 lost to another restaurant.. makes no sense.
I literally ordered food from another place and it's no where near the flavors and quality that I know Sweet Sweet Kitchen to have. Very disappointed! I'm just one person, think of all the $$ your Restaurant could be pulling in if you just keep up with Food Delivery Apps.
The best Jollof and oxtails in the DMV.
That Jollof Rice tho!!! #Bomb
I’m come here regularly. There are two new teenagers working the front counter that don’t acknowledge you when you walk in. You have to repeat yourself several times because they don’t listen and they are stingy with the portions and not cleaning hands or using gloves after playing on germy phones before handling food.

Outstanding food and great customer service. The food here is of Sierra Leone, Caribbean, Trinidadian fare. The oxtail and curry goat are my favorite dishes here. The food is always well seasoned, the meat or tender, and most importantly—the flavor is on point. Although a bit pricey, the portions are huge and more than enough for two people. Caution to those that are not fans of spicy food. The food here can go from mild to spicy for some people’s pallet, but for me, it is A+OK! I am a fan, and recommend this place!

Leaving a review for Sweet Sweet Kitchen is an absolute must. I hardly know where to start—the incredible flavors, both in the food and the warmth of the staff, are truly exceptional. I just can’t stay away! I’ve recommended this restaurant to hundreds of people and will continue to do so. After moving over 10 years ago from my hometown, I struggled to find anything that captured the flavor and heart of my hometown's cooking—until I found Sweet Sweet Kitchen. Thank you Su, Mo and D. Yours truly Makeda-Nicole....
Parking: Plenty of parking, next door to the restaurant. Never an issue.

We were walking by on our way to the museums, and there was someone grilling food outside - the smell was SO good we just had to stop in on a whim. The curry chicken was absolutely divine, the jollof rice was amazing, and the plantains were just so, so good. Also the portions were HUGE! I wish I wasn’t visiting, I would be here every week if I lived here. Definitely recommend!

This is the first time I’ve ever had a complaint about this place but I’m actually that upset. I came in after work because it’s the only place in silver spring open after a certain time. I come here all the time and pay whatever the cost. Tonight I noticed the cashier add a service charge to my order. I’ve never had that happen to me once. I know how that pos system works and that doesn’t happen unless added by the user. When I asked the cashier why that was there, her response was “I don’t know how to use the system, its in there itself” and when I made the comment that “I watched her do it and know how to use that system” proceeded to look at me like I was crazy. I come here all the time, this is the first time such thing has ever happened. I don’t care about the added .94 cents, it’s the fact I was lied to straight to my face and I was gaslighted into making it seem like I’m causing mischief. I was already having a long rough night and that made it more annoying. This experience wasn’t worth the money I spent. I could’ve ubered Taco Bell and been happier. I don’t even have the stomach to eat my food. To whoever worked on Sept. 15th at 1am thanks a lot.
