Amazing food. Attentive staff. This place serves a delicious variety of Mexican foods, beverages, and the best flan I have ever tasted. Our favorites include Tlayudas with pork, Bistec con Salsa Pasilla, Pastor Tacos. You really can’t go wrong. The offer tasty aguas frescas, tasty libations, and that creamy flan I mentioned above. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Angel is a gentleman, and listens carefully in order to customize your experience. I really kind of hate to let everyone know about this hideaway in Wheaton, but I can’t stop bragging on them!

Staff and owner are so friendly. Restaurant is 6 months old but food here is so good. I got the chorizo, Lengua and beef tacos. Made fresh and great in value

The WaPo review brought us here. The Tlayuda was the best I've ever had here or in CDMX. The tacos de pastor are amazing, but I did miss the flick of pineapple that I'm used to. The mole is different from what I've had before. The owner told me that it is mole dulce from a town in Oaxaca. Try it, it's really good. Everything about this place screams fondita de la esquina in CDMX (little neighborhood restaurant), a very high complement indeed.

Taqueria Sabor Mixteco is a hidden gem! As Arizona natives, we've been missing authentic Mexican food since moving here, and this place finally satisfied that craving! The chicken mole enchiladas are absolutely delicious, and the suadero taco quickly became our favorite—perfectly tender and flavorful. We also tried the carne asada and chicken tacos, which were equally amazing. Don’t skip the guacamole—it’s a must! They have an incredible selection of fresh salads too. The service was top-notch; our server was incredibly sweet and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Plus, the prices are affordable, and the lively atmosphere is clean and welcoming. We can't wait to come back!

The food here is AMAZING!!! Authentic flavors and delicious food prepared and served by the kindest people right in Wheaton. The owner, Juan, told me his story of the restaurant, and is SO very personable. In the 2 weeks that we’ve known about the restaurant, we’ve had lunch twice, and ordered catering for a small party we hosted. Everything was packaged perfectly - tacos with all of the fixings packaged separately, rice and beans, homemade chips, guac, salsas, and the group LOVED IT!!
