So I didn’t really get any good pictures here only because I got there when they were closing. I really didn’t get a chance to play the games but I know about the other location that they have down in the noma area of Washington DC. i’ve been to that one before, so they are pretty the same. This one is just newer and a bit larger. The food was delicious and I also ordered a double shot. The bartender was nice and let us know that they were closing soon so she didn’t want to rush us to put a order in, but she wanted to make sure we were able to eat while the kitchen was still open. I definitely recommend that. Can you check this place out doing business hour and 30 minutes before closing lol

I stopped by the Eleanor as a possible lunch spot. The interior definitely has an active vibe with all of the games and the bowling lanes. It was really packed in here and we decided to have lunch elsewhere. But I will definitely return to check out the food and drinks.

I stopped by two different occasions: happy hour on a Friday night and breakfast on a Saturday morning.Service was great both times, and the food taste good. Nothing I tried really wow'd me or worth bragging about. If you're looking for a no frills spot to grab a decent meal at an affordable price, add this to your list.

Cute, but tiny!I've been to The Eleanor a couple of times and I always feel like I'm an elbow away from bumping nearby patrons, no matter if I'm chowing down near the bar or using a bowling lane. Space-aside, the Eleanor is a cool spot for date night (Pac-Man, bowling, live sports) as you have the opportunity to enjoy multiple activities alongside your meal. Service is generally good (I've never had an issue with a server), though I have found the food quality to be inconsistent.I'd come for the vibes and stay for the drinks ;).

A fun night out, but the service could be improved a bit.The Eleanor is a relatively new addition to DTSS, and a welcome departure from the other chain restaurants that make up the development. When we arrived the greeter wasn’t particularly nice but helped us to a table and told us it was unlikely we’d be able to bowl. We sampled some appetizers. The nachos were unexpectedly incredible, even without meat. The beans and sauce made for a delicious treat. The General Tso’s wings were a good idea on paper but the taste was pretty mid. The local on tap beers were generous but pricey. Two apps, two beers and a soda came to $60. I’m not sure how great a value that is. The ambiance was cool for the restaurant concept but the yacht rock playing in the background just doesn’t fit the urban aesthetic of DTSS. Fix this, please. The duckpin bowling was a cool idea but the execution was lacking. The machine jammed multiple times which required someone to come and repair it before we could resume our game. We paid for an hour but only got about 40 mins in. They smartly reduced the bill so we only paid for 30 mins so that helped. We didn’t have time to play any other games.Overall, this was fun. It’s an added dimension to DTSS that’s better suited for mature patrons than Dave & Busters. We’ll likely return for happy hour.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids late at night when we went.Parking: Easy parking in DTSS

Went a few weeks ago for the first time. Had a nice lil time. Definitely a laid back type of place Enjoyed the food and the drinks. It's definitely a vibe with the bowling and arcade. The crew was nice. Will visit again

Excellent service—staff were lovely. I came in not knowing this restaurant is actually also a nice arcade/bowling alley sort of space. The rigatoni allá vodka (edited as I indicated the wrong dish before) was good-flavor on point, but my hungry girl self was disappointed that I didn’t have any left-overs (just plan for that folks, the portions are perfect if you don’t want to take stuff home). It’s a fun, bright, active ambiance - good for groups.Very excited about the Wednesday oyster deals, and I would go back for that!

This is a cool spot located in downtown Silver Spring. It reminds me of a retro Dave & Busters mixed with a sports bar. Went on a Sat with some friends for a sendoff event. There was plenty of open seating inside. See pics. Also a bar area. The waitress attending us was very good about checking in on us and trying to get us a spot at the bowling alley. Food came in decent amount of time. Prices are not particularly cheap but the burgers were pretty big and came with a knife stuck in the middle (I was kind of shocked). The fries seems overcooked and wilted though. Ok for an American food joint, not really a value meal though. In terms of the available entertainment, there are plenty of arcade games, a mini bowling alley, photobooth, and TVs playing sports. The nice thing about the arcade games is you just buy a reloadable game card that you tap at the game you want to play. $5 gets you 45 credits. Games are 6-14 credits each. They have pinball, skeeball, basketball, Pac-man, fighter games, hockey. I was able to play Pac-man, a shooting game, and pinball. The bowling alley isn't full sized. The balls don't have holes for your fingers so you just hold it and roll it. We unfortunately were not able to play since they were all booked for the next few hours. So if you want to try the bowling, make sure to have a reservation. As for parking, the Montgomery County parking garages are free on weekends. The closest one being 921 Wayne Ave. The restaurant is located amidst a cluster of other shops in the plaza but look for an outdoor stage and it is just behind that.Overall: would recommend as a casual get together place. Come for the full package, not necessarily for the food.

So much fun! First time doing duck pin bowling or whatever you call it. Atmosphere was great, game was fun, and I'm not too shabby at it! Enjoyed the nachos and the margaritas were a perfect complement. Will be back soon, for sure. Maybe just to eat and drink, but always looking for something fun to do!

I popped in to see what this place was all about. It’s an excellent concept and a good location. There are a few games, a full bar, and decent food options. The problem is that the tables are too close to the neighboring tables. The games are fun but very limited. The food was just ok.This review might have been four stars if there was no Dave & Busters in the area.I recommend going to this place only if you do not want to go through the mall or a crowded place, but be wary if you’re here for the games, be sure to check to see if they are available first—a good alternative for Dave & Buster’s but limited gaming. Most likely will not be back.

We have been " The Eleanor" twice the first experience was excellent. Great food, and service, and the kids loved the duck bowling. This last we had on August 13th was terrible. Are hostess greet us very politely, but once we got to are server Ronaldo everything changed. He was very short with everyone at the table, even though we were the only people at the restaurant to start. We tried other servers and bartenders and they were short with us as well. Food was decent (One person was served very late), and the kids love the environment. But I can't recommend this place again until they fix the server issue. We also attempted to call the manager multiple times but never got a call back.

Rudeness is a non starter. We won't be spending our money in an establishment that doesn't value kindness and doesn't hire polite, welcoming servers. Also, cleanliness is a factor. The person at the front desk when we entered was not helpful. It was our first time there and did not know how the seating/game logistics worked. So we decided to just sit at the bar initially. We sat down only to discover that the bar top had not been cleaned. I discovered that the bottom of my white, linen sweater sleeve was stained by the ketchup on the counter. The bartender behind the bar seemed to not notice us and walked away from behind the bar after we sat down. When he returned he had 2 other staff people with him. Eager to have some lemon and club soda to remove the ketchup stain and order drinks I called and motioned to the 3 of them. One person came over. I mentioned we had been waiting for service. I shared that I was needing something to clean my sweater and that we wanted to order drinks. He reprimanded me in an emphatic, condescending, scolding tone saying that the staff "were not ignoring us it's just that they have priorities and they would get to us when they can." I thought that maybe serving customers was a priority. Guess we were wrong! We left and won't recommend this place to others based on our experience. It's a shame because with better management, staff and training this game-centric place could be a nicer place to go.
