Great spot right in the middle of Silver Spring! They have a great selection of wines, an awesome staff, and they have live music on the weekends. Looking forward to coming back here!

We tried to visit same time last year and it was closed. Made the same mistake this year, and didn't realize it was the same place until we pulled into the parking lot. This place doesn't update their website with holiday hours and Google says their open. The website has active pop-ups with events that leads you to believe it's open. Not a big deal if your local, but we chose it as an in-between meeting place twice. Forty-five minutes later for both parties and we pull into the parking lot of a closed Urban Winery....again. Do the patrons a favor and update the website with holiday hours.

Urban Winery was an exceptional partner for our networking mixer, even with less than a week of lead time and the busy Thanksgiving holiday in full swing. As a Washington DC event planner, I understand how challenging quick-turn events can be, but their team made it feel seamless. They accommodated our group of roughly 40 project management professionals during a prime evening slot and delivered outstanding service from start to finish. Georgia, Scott, Lauren, and Kelly were attentive, efficient, and genuinely invested in making the event a success. We were thrilled with the experience and look forward to working with them again.

We went to the Urban Winery for a wine making experience. WOW!! What an amazing evening. The information gained was definitely useful. Georgia, Damon and their beautiful family made you truly feel at home. Definitely something I would recommend! They also have many upcoming events. Check out their website.

We attended Fall Paniyiri last night and saw Spyros Koliavasilis & Melos—beautiful music and a great atmosphere! The bar staff inside were friendly, and the lollipop lamb from the UW bar menu was quite good.

Unfortunately, the Greek food from the outside vendor was disappointing. We ordered the lamb dinner platter, chicken souvlaki, and spanakopita. While the flavors were ok, the food was served cold (except for spanakopita) and looked like it had been sitting out for a while—the plate was even sagging (so saggy that I hadn’t noticed until later that I cut thru the plate - probably eating some of the paper plate). This was surprising, especially since the lamb on the spit looked like it should’ve been served hot. Not worth the price. Such a disappointment.

The final letdown was the baklava. It was dry, burnt, and so tough we couldn’t even cut through it! It’s a shame the food didn’t match the quality of the music and wine, as it could have made for a truly special evening.

Nice cozy space!!! Small eats....staff was very knowledgeable about their wines and welcoming. The food was great and service was exceptional. My first time and I'll definitely be back.

The Urban Winery has a beautiful tasting room in Lyttonsville, with delicious wine, charcuterie, and other appetizing menu items to match its hip and airy atmosphere. With a full calendar of events and a sterling commitment to the community, this family-owned winery is a local treasure. I’ve been so happy and grateful to make UW my musical home!

Very nice winery with a nice outdoor seating. They sell other drinks as well for the non wine drinkers including beer and cocktails. Very friendly staff and the atmosphere is calming. I did enjoy their flights and food and will be back for more. Thanks for the great service.

What a cute little winery in an urban setting!! Sat outside on this beautiful day under umbrellas. Scott was a very gracious host! Had a couple wine and bourbon flights. All very good. Great food! Lollipop lamb stood out as our favorite. Cute little hidden spot. Will definitely return!

Thank you, Scott, for helping me find something I loved! The metro wines say semi-sweet, but they are pretty sweet as a heads up. They had a nice variety. The cheese and baklava were yummy! Try the Georgia 2016 blend if you like Italian varietals and nice robust fruity flavor. They were busy with a bridal shower but were still nice and welcoming :)
