The Urban Winery of Silver Spring

Very nice winery with a nice outdoor seating. They sell other drinks as well for the non wine drinkers including beer and cocktails. Very friendly staff and the atmosphere is calming. I did enjoy their flights and food and will be back for more. Thanks for the great service.

What a cute little winery in an urban setting!! Sat outside on this beautiful day under umbrellas. Scott was a very gracious host! Had a couple wine and bourbon flights. All very good. Great food! Lollipop lamb stood out as our favorite. Cute little hidden spot. Will definitely return!

Wonderful and relaxing place to enjoy wine and smell bites. Nice to have a place like this in Silver Spring - wish there were more like it.

Thank you, Scott, for helping me find something I loved! The metro wines say semi-sweet, but they are pretty sweet as a heads up. They had a nice variety. The cheese and baklava were yummy! Try the Georgia 2016 blend if you like Italian varietals and nice robust fruity flavor. They were busy with a bridal shower but were still nice and welcoming :)

Saw Jeff Weintraub's wonderful show at The Urban Winery last evening. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant venue to hear Jeff's jazzy American songbook classics. A wonderful setting, a delightful wine list, and very friendly management. With good food, great music, lovely wine and a perfect setting, the modest cover charge more than paid for itself. I'll definitely be back.

They swindled us for $20.
I couldn't wait to go here... I heard stories of lamb and wine.... so we went. Originally, we sat outside, but it was quite humid, so we moved inside. There was a small band setting up, but we didn't think anything of it. When we received our bill, they charged us $10 each as a cover charge. When I asked about it, Damon curtly pointed at the door and said it was posted on the door. It was... on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper with the cover charge written in very small font. We didn't even see the flyer, nonetheless the text on it. The right thing to do when we moved inside would have been to verbally inform us of the cover charge, but there was no such courtesy. That was foul. Do better.

We made a quick stop here to do a wine tasting. Our waiter was so nice. A lot of people say their wines are pretty dry, I’d definitely describe it more as semisweet. I loved every wine I tried. My only regret was this being a quick stop.

04/10/2025-This was my first time. I had a good glass of water and ordered the “dry rubbed” chicken wings meal! Yum! Yummy! Delicious! The management team, cook, and servers; so nice! The decor inside is charming. High snd low style tables for seating inside and there is the cutest outside seating area just right for Spring and Summer! There are many attractions on the upcoming food and events menu! I am a singer! I especially enjoyed the smooth Jazz songs and music being performed live at @ Thursday Night Live Jazz with Dr. Norman Weeks featuring Natasha ShaMone on jazz vocals and flutist, Carl Carrington! The atmosphere was harmonious! The guests truly enjoyed every song (rendition)! * Shout out to Ms. Lori for putting these artist on the schedule! I will definitely be back. I bought nine(9)guests out with me. The performance was from 7-9 pm. Encore! Bon! Special! Thank you Urban Winery!!!

Fantastic hidden gem!! If you like chill vibes, supporting local business, good wine, art, and some very tasty food then you have to try them out.

Really enjoyed our time here this weekend. The wine was good, and they took the time to tell me about their wines and where the grapes are grown. Everyone was super nice. Though it's a long drive for me, I'll definitely be back.
