Third Hill Brewing Co

Great beer, great food and great folks working here. Can't recommend it highly enough. We visited for the first time today, and it's absolutely going to be our go to spot from now on.

Great vibe, beers, and food! Different options for beer sizes, so you go with a smaller size to try several.

Great covered outdoor space as well overlooking Georgia Ave. And dog friendly!

Several different events take place throughout the week, runs, trivia, etc. Make sure to check their website.

Loved the atmosphere and the mix of music

New neighborhood favorite. Huge beer selection, all locally brewed with different sizes so you can make a sampler or just enjoy a pint. Excellent food menu, and the staff clearly love working there and make you feel really welcome. You can hang out, play board games or pinball, and they have a performance space in the keg room so you can go see a show. Easy to get to, near Metro and large parking garages. Couldn't be better.

Good vibes and good beers. Live music on Saturday night was fun.

Third Hill is a good brewery with good people. Was a regular at Denizens in Silver Spring (esp. for trivia) until they sadly closed that location last October. My partner and I tried a few different spots in Silver Spring for trivia night and decided that Third Hill was our favorite. We're there at least twice a month now for trivia night and it's a fun time with great beer.

Beers are AWESOME with huge selection of diverse beverages! Food is very good and reasonably priced. Staff are helpful and friendly! What's not to like at a micro-brew? GREAT PLACE

I was saddened to hear that Astro Lab closed. We have seen larger craft brewers such as 3 Stars Brewing Company close and Denizens Brewing consolidating their operations (another hit to Silver Springs). Fortunately Third Hill Brewing stepped in immediately and prevented a void happening in the neighborhood.

Third Hill Brewing's layout is the same as Astro Lab. It makes sense, I would not spend the money to redesign or renovate the space.

Third Hill has put together a diverse line up; Astro Lab was always IPA heavy. The First Kiss New England Pale Ale, Max Luxe Japanese Rice Lager, and Gesundheit Pilsner were solid takes on those styles.

What was a nice departure from Astro Lab, is that there is actually a full food menu. And by full food, I mean burgers and sandwiches.

I hope Third Hill makes it, and they can, as long as we all support local businesses!

Awesome brewery in Silver Spring, as a big Astrolab fan, they had some big shoes to fill, and they've done an excellent job. Great beers on tap, super friendly staff and some great snacks to keep you going. Glad we stopped by, definitley plan to be back!

This one was bittersweet for us as we LOVED Astrolab but we were thrilled to see that for the most part, it looks exactly the same. ? Good beer and good vibes plus the food is really good for a brewery!!

A lot of beers to try - they serve 4 & 8 oz so you are open for experiments. Food is good - surprise for a brewery.
Best part - the place has open terrace facing Georgia Avenue with nice views.
Recommend: any beer with Tercera Colina Taco. Pricewise 3 draft beers with Tacos will set you for about $30.
Happy hour is a bonus.
