The lady in the picture had to remake my drink. The drink was watery... she was slamming my cup and the blender. She was very angry and unprofessional. I will not go back and advise others to do the same. If you pay $9.00 for a smoothie, it should taste right! Putting too much ice and too much water is being done to save there ingredients. Do better!

Tried this new Tropical Smoothie location because my usual spots were out of the Ohana Breeze. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. From the start, the cashier (Samarpit) had a poor attitude while I was placing my order. When I asked to use my rewards at checkout, she sighed and smacked her teeth like it was a huge inconvenience. I’m paying for my meal—and extra for add-ons I couldn’t substitute—so the least I expected was basic courtesy.
On top of the bad service, the Ohana drinks we ordered tasted completely off—not the refreshing flavor we’ve enjoyed at other locations. To make matters worse, my dragon fruit bowl came with honey after I specifically asked for it to be left out and paid extra ($1.29) for a Nutella drizzle instead. Safe to say, I won’t be returning to this location.

I love tropical smoothie cafe and since I moved here to silver spring I wanted to give this area a try, I ordered a wrap and two smoothies today on DoorDash 4/1/25, and when I received my order my wrap was missing, I was a bit disappointed wasting $41 but overall the smoothies were great! But my food was missing.

I have a “go to” smoothie and sandwich combo that I enjoy from Tropical Smoothie. Whenever I take my daughters to the dentist’s office nearby. However, on my last two visits I have had some uncomfortable experiences at this location. I have accrued a lot of points because of being a frequent customer. I went into the location with my daughters after ordering their lunches online. I decided to use my points to order my sandwich. When I did, the app told me that I already redeemed my points. I said to myself, “that’s okay, I’ll just go to the friendly people at the register and they will correct it. Unfortunately, the lady at the register was shockingly unhelpful. She told me that this happens to a lot of customers and all I simply have to do is wait another 24 hours. I asked to speak to the manager and she refused to call for them. I believe in giving companies a fair chance to show good customer service. I gave them several opportunities and even spoke directly to the lady to say that I wished the customer service was better. I mentioned understanding how franchise systems work and how, being in good service, I also had to solve similar problems…and go above and beyond. I am still hungry but, on principle, I can’t give my money to a business that does not respect me as a customer, but is only transactional. I will not be purchasing from this location again until they improve their service. The Rockville location has great service. I gave this Tech Road location another chance our last visit when my daughter found a long piece of hair in her sandwich, but this was the last straw!
That employee Kyushu P. has a very nasty attitude and rushes you from the moment you are placing your order. Management needs to train her on customer service. She’s not friendly at all

For some reason, this location is always skimp on portions and ingredients compared to others. The smoothies taste just a bit watered down as well. I ordered a Chicken Cali Flatbread breakfast sandwich and didn’t receive even a slice worth of mashed avocado or a spoonful of diced chicken breast. When I called back to ask why the portions were so light, the gentleman who answered the phone was more set on arguing with me than resolving the issue. I attached a photo of what my flatbread looked like open-faced. I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe, just not this one. Drive a little further for a better experience.

Always fast and friendly. I also want to add a tip for anyone trying to get a healthy dessert fix: the Mango Magic smoothie with added avocado, blueberries, whey protein, and probiotic tastes like cookie dough. I think the avocado is the major factor there, but I’m just listing what I got. Try it!
