I love Zed's! With the new grand opening I'm grateful it's still in the neighborhood. The veggie omelet on croissant and salad is delicious. The service is slow but the staff is friendly. It feels like home.

Definitely a hidden gem. Found this café looking for a breakfast spot. The gentleman behind the counter was kind and patient as we figured out what we wanted. I had the smoked salmon sandwich which came with chips and a salad and a latte. The sandwich, salad, and coffee were delicious even if not a typical breakfast combo. Everything we ordered was made to order but the wait time was respectable and gives time to enjoy the eclectic decor. Would absolutely go back again.

Got a muffin, it was rather old and not good. Someone else got bread they had to give back it was bad. The bass on the speaker was blown out and made the otherwise nice music sound bad.

This is the second time I’ve tried to go to Zed’s during their advertised open hours only to find them closed. Locked up tightly. When I do manage to get in, it’s lovely.

Loved our visit to Zed's! Great coffee drinks, friendly service. Terrific back courtyard away from Georgia Ave, sheltered from the noise. Fun, funky atmosphere. Easy on street parking around the corner.

Zed's is a hidden gem of Georgia Avenue. From the found furniture feel to the plant-filled back patio, it's a chill place to eat, drink, or merely be. The coffee beans and roasts are high quality, the food is delightful, and the owner is very friendly. Try the quiche, salmon, or baked goods, it's all nice.I lived in the DMV area for 15 years and discovered this place a year before leaving, and it legitimately makes me a little sad to not have had greater opportunity to be at Zed's.

I've walked by Zed's dozens of time but this morning a Yelp'd a breakfast spot and it came up so I tried it! It's such a cute homie spot. The customer service and food are awesome. Mickey recommended the southern omelet!! It was a great choice! Egg, cheese, spinach, tomato and bacon on a toasted croissant! it was delish!! Zed's is now officially a part of my neighborhood spots!!

Very homey and cozy. Not the best coffee around, but the atmosphere makes up for it. In the right weather, the back patio is very nice as well

Tried here to work for a few hours this week. It's so cute in the pictures, I've always wanted to try it. We had neighbors getting construction this week so I worked there Wednesday morning for some peace. The menu is small, but mighty, the service is iffy, and the pastries are store bought and stale. The front of house guy who brings the food and prepared the drinks is awesome, accommodating, and polite. I ordered egg and cheese on croissant, which came with salad and fruit. I also got my standard americano with room for cream. The food was well made, the perfect temperature and had just right seasoning levels. The americano was a bit cold so I figure he'd let it set while the food was being made to run them together. I had asked for cream, it was forgotten, they don't have any Splenda, only sweet n low, and their teaspoons are tablespoons, but the food was good. I also ordered a muffin later just to see what their pastries were about. It had clearly been in the pastry case for more than 3 days. It was REVOLTINGLY stale. I returned and advised and he offered a "fresh one" - from the fridge, in plastic, from a bakery in NEW JERSEY. They'd be better off selling Costco muffins. That muffin was HORRIBLE. Sickeningly sweet, 7 blueberries that were clearly rehydrated in the batter, and tasted like oil and preservatives. Sad. However, I came to work! There were two tables there when I arrived, they left within 15/20 minutes. The bathroom was not clean AT ALL - toilet bowl was gross and it was 10:00 am and they were out of soap and toilet paper. Ewwwww. I pray there was a hand washing sink in the kitchen. Also, the cook or whomever was in the back was watching something on tv, yelling in Spanish loudly, and generally making a racket. This did not make for an easy or enjoyable working environment. The layout is lovely, the chairs are comfy, the tables are just the right size for individuals or small groups (read 2 people) so the vibe is work/co-work, but then the dude is yelling in the kitchen!!! The other thing is, there was NOBODY in the place but me and one other dude who'd long since eaten, and the tables from the other people hadn't been wiped. They were bussed, but not wiped. The floor wasn't swept. It was just a general aura of idgaf but that's young workers in 2023 I guess. The concept is good, but the execution is struggling. I want to hope it's a bad day but who knows. I would try again if I was in the area but would definitely not go out of my way given the parking plus the issues above. Okay, not Great.

Feels so homey inside! Great coffee (plus other drinks for the non-coffee drinker), breakfast and lunch options, seating, wifi, and power outlets. Major plus is the patio in the back

An unplanned visit to this coffee shop. Ordered regular coffee and a slice of corn bread. Both were good.Young man behind the counter is very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the music and decor. Looking forward to my next visit.Wheelchair accessibility: Café is on ground level. No steps. Enough space for a wheelchair to move around in.
