Honestly, kinda sad. The sushi was really bland, even wasabi and soy sauce couldn't make it less bland. I got ice cream mochi and the mochi was freezer burnt so it was brittle and gritty.
I will say the service was amazing, fast and very kind.

Went back after 2 years to try it again, even worse. Everyone was done eating by time they bought my nieces PLAIN noodles 90 minutes (Same thing happened last time). Shrimp hibachi was plain and bland, table was never checked on, poor service. Only good thing was the bulgogli wasn't overly sweet this time.
It's a nice little spot to eat. Sushi and hibachi. 😋
This is a go to place it's close to my house and it is awesome.
This place is good. It's not bad. People seem to love Island Sushi but nothing here has ever blown me away. I've had a lot of different sushi here and they're all just /good/ (The tiki torch roll is pretty great tbh). I really only go here if friends want to or if I'm having a critical sushi craving. Decent place, decent service. Not too many sushi options this far down in SoMD unfortunately

there was two other tables when we went in, waited 40 minutes for sashimi and one roll and didn't receive one of the items we ordered, nobody came by to check on us or our food until after we were done eating. not the best experience.

service was not the best. the wait time for the quality of sushi was insane. there for 30 minutes with no update on our food. plus we ordered something and never got it.
