Food was delightful. We were a party of 5 and everything was great. Me and my father in law both ordered the shrimp & chicken fra diavlo. It was the special and it was a great choice. Had a bottle of Chianti and an espresso martini to end the night. Overall, really great dinner choice!!!

It was wonderful, as always!!! When the waitress tried to see us at the front entrance, I asked for a different table, and she seemed perturbed for a moment, but smiled and status at a table further into the restaurant. That was absolutely the single thing that I can think of to complain about. Because everything else was fantastic!!! We had a meatball as an appetizer and the steak and lobster ravioli for dinner. We couldn't help but order the crème brûlée for dessert even though we were already stuffed. All in all a fantastic meal. Thank you so much, La Vela. We will be back soon!

Upon arrival for our 7pm outdoor seating reservation, the hostess told is that the table we were to be seated at was still occupied. She then said another outside table for 4 was “too wobbly” to use. So she said she will seat us inside, and when a table becomes available outside she would move us. To help make sure she remembered to do that, we gave her a “dont forget us” tip. Soon, tables became available outside. But instead of moving us as she had said she would, she seated other guests at those tables. With respect to service, our waitress Angelina was very nice and did a good job. As for cocktails, Angelina came by after about 20 minutes to say that the bartender was just getting to make them. Yet noone was sitting at the bar. So we wondered what the delay was. Anyways, the food was great. The risotto was particularly excellent. On the way out, we stopped to speak with the hostess to ask why she never bothered to move us. She said she had to seat other guests who had reservations. Oh really. So we left the restaurant feeling our tummies full but also felt like we were slighted. And by the way, she did seat another party at the alleged wobbly table. Go figure.

Father's day celebration was amazing The manager an the staff came bye the table an wished myself an my son inlaw happy father's day an checked on us frequently. The food an drinks were amazing . I had crab cake ,my son inlaw the cowboy steak!! My daughter is pregnant an had a mocktail it was very good .

The entire experience was wonderful. The staff were professional, seated us quickly in the patio area, and the weather was just perfect for patio dining. Server was very friendly and helpful and took the time to provide a hand-written list of gluten-free options. The food was delicious. I ordered the salmon ai Ferri--it was very tender and the rosemary potatoes were outstanding. My mom ordered the veal parmigiana and my husband ordered the chicken parmigiana, and calamari for appetizers--they loved everything. I also ordered the pineapple sangria which was delicious and better than I expected. We will be regulars from now on.
The cuisine is excellent and quite diverse given the locale. We have become regulars because of its consistent quality.

This is the second time we have been to La vela and it did not disappoint, actually seems to just get better. Staff is extremely friendly and very attentive. The food is phenomenal, beautifully plated, flavors are perfect. Definitely nothing comparable in our area to them. My filet was cooked to perfection and the lobster ravioli was exquisite. We will definitely be back.
