We regularly eat at ruddy duck at least once a week. Alice and Jessica are the best bartenders. Food is always served hot with great presentation. The fish tacos and fried shrimp are our favorites

Nothing like the one in piney point, which is more upscale and has a solid kitchen, and isn’t run down and dated like this place was. But I guess does it share a parking lot with a hotel, which is rarely a good sign.

The food here was absurd, not much more elevated than a casual chain, not much fresher either. Two massive fish tacos that lacked flavor, freshness, and visual appeal. Fish was not local (haddock, why when so many local options exist such as fresh rockfish or bluefish?!), it was dry yet slimy, under seasoned and instead of being a nice well-handled filet, it was broken up/all over the place. If you are going to do that, at least try to hide it by putting the fish on the bottom and the garnish on top. Instead I was greeted with a jumbled mess of pathetic fish scattered on top of some sad lettuce/slaw. This mess was then served on comically large 8” tortillas, in taco holders that were comically small for the bowl they were jammed into. Half of one taco was all I could stomach.

One person in our group also found a hair in their side. The food was a joke. The IPA was also a joke. Not sure who thinks this is a good recipe to serve but you might want to reconsider. Very little hop character with a touch of oxidation.

Our group’s server was good though, so at least there was that.

We might head back to piney but never will waste a meal at the solomons location again.

Who told this place to be so yummy—Honestly this will be my go to spot whenever we are in the area! I don’t even like beer like that and my husband ordered a flight of beers and told me to try two of them because he knew I would love it and he was not wrong. Do I like beer now? They were so delicious, so I recommend you to try them. It was the dragon fruit and the peach beer.

One of my families favorite places to eat at. We always have an amazing experience there the food is phenomenal. The atmosphere and the staff are amazing as well. Definitely get the Duck Fat Fries they are so good my family orders this an appetizer every single time we go. The pizzas are so good and the beer the beer that they brew there will never disappoint!!!

We ate here 2 evenings. On both occasions, the food was fantastic. We also tried a few of the in house beer selections they had to offer and there is a style for most any beer drinker. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. What really set it apart for us was one of the owners, Carlos. We have never been to his establishment before, and he really made us feel like we had been coming in for years. I typically don't write reviews, but I was truly impressed with Ruddy Duck. Highly recommended!

Definitely worth the stop. Crab dip was absolutely phenomenal - could have just ate 2 pounds of that. Also had chicken cheese steak which was also very flavorful. Not gigantic portions but didn't leave wanting any more. Live music definitely helped the atmosphere. Honey Stout was also very unique, would recommend to craft beer fans. Friendly fast service.

One of my favorite places in here as I was a regular in here for many years, the beer and food quality, service is consistently good with a good and friendly atmosphere. I’ve know Carlos Y., who co owns both the restaurant and the Hilton Hotel right across the parking lot. On this occasion, I’ve tried the empanadas, chips and a 2 Dz. Oysters which they’re big, very fresh and delicious and sourced locally from Piney Point, MD.
Bre, our server she was very attentive at their large bar area which is a great place to get a quick seat to place your food order if you don’t have a reservation.

We tried about 3 different beers choosing “Rudy Hell” to be the best one according to our taste and also being indicated to be one of the most popular beers. Last, Ruddy Duck was nominated back in 2011 to be voted the best beer in MD!

We came in here an hour before closing time. We understand that employees may want to wrap things up but we still expected service. We were ignored at the bar and the host didn’t want to sit us in the dining area. Then when we got service they forgot our tacos. When our waitress asked the cook to make them they said they have already put the cooking oil away. The pizza was ok but we were already turned off by then. Just not a good experience overall, would not recommend, especially since there are a lot of other great restaurants around.

Ruddy Duck Solomons gets a ZERO STARS for today. We showed up (visiting) and it was trivia night. We were seated right by the speakers so we asked to move and we were moved.
To put this bluntly we waited 1.5 hours for our meals and they got all meals wrong. Cold, raw, and not what was ordered. We had to ask to speak with the manager but you would think the server would have gotten her. On top of it all the mgr wanted to reduce our bill and we stood firm in only paying for the drinks. They fail tonight and their score is ZERO!!! Won’t visit again.

We LOVE the Ruddy Duck! The food is scrumptious and the entire staff is amazingly awesome! So kind and friendly and welcoming. We come here often and highly recommend it.

The crab pizza is really good! The crab cakes as well. The customer service and the owner are very nice as well! Already have gone back once and will do so again!
