The Island Hideaway

Great food and experience as always! The "Marry For the Halibut " waa amazing! We always enjoy Island Hideaway! Good people!

We’ve been multiple times and they always have two spots at the bar constantly reserved in case one of the owners and their partner come in. The bar will be full, people want to sit at the bar, but they won’t let anyone sit in those seats just in case they come in. I can get over that, but tonight was the icing on the cake. We go in to join the waitlist, we get told 35-40 minutes which if fine, then a couple minutes later another couple comes in. We talk to them so we know they aren’t on the waitlist and they don’t have a reservation. They clearly know the owners. The owners look at the books and move tables around and sat them right away. It’s a total slap in the face! We couldn’t sit at the open seats at the bar because the brother might come in and we have to wait for a table, but all of a sudden a table comes available for their friends. The food is good and we always have great service, but tonight was different. The lack of respect and care for customers left a lasting impression. We didn’t even wait for the table at the point because it was so frustrating.

One of my special places since 1986. Old world setting, friendly staff and delicious Sauerbraten , Apple Strudel and beverages. I yodel their praises all the way home.

This is the best dining experience in the area all the way around!!! Worth the money for great food, service and experience! Must Go !!!

My bf and I came for dinner and it was delicious. Service was great. 😊 We recommend getting the old bag wings 😋 the salmon was also very good and flavorful and the burger was also delicious! Awesome experience!

Fabulous filet mignon was so tender and juicy. All the sides were delicious. Service was wonderful. Only annoyance is that even as locals we need to make reservations a day ahead of time to get in regardless of the time of year.

Alex and staff are amazing! Best desserts! Everything on the menu is delicious! Can't wait for the warm weather so we can eat outside by the water!

From the greeting to our server to the food to the checkout, everything was 100%+. Happy New Year!

Island hideaway was outstanding. Our server, Ben, was really good, and everything we had was excellent and clearly prepared with thought and care. Corn has never been so interesting nor so delicious, and the cream of crab was perfectly rich and decadent. Amazing.

I can't say enough outstanding things about this family owned and run Resturant. Everyone that works there is so pleasant from hostess to wait staff to owners. The food never disappoints. It's actually outstanding. I love That they always have specials. Always something new and delicious to try. The location on the water is perfect and they have an admirable flare for seasonal decorating.

Excellent service. Our waiter Ben was very attentive and congenial. We shared wings and our table ordered seafood cannelloni, coconut lemon chicken, filet mignon, which was the cut of the day, and the Hideaway burger. Not one complaint. Everyone enjoyed truly their entree. We will be planning a return.

Absolutely ruined my son’s birthday. We made a reservation a week ago. When we showed up, the hostess had apparently given our table away. Claimed we had canceled. Rude and absolutely no attempt to make it right. Basically just said too bad, and implied it was our fault. Do better!
